  1. We noticed that also. Maybe due to the lower passenger and elite numbers?
  2. Yup two separate lights here. One switched and one on sensor. At least in the mini-suite. I guess it was easier to put a second one than to replace the old one.
  3. I don't know about all ships, but on the Emerald there are two closet area lights, the old one you can still turn on and off with the switch near the door. No need to move the tape for light. They also have the motion sensor lights below the bedside stands. I covered that sensor after the first night of it coming on when the covers flopped along side.
  4. We attested on the app that we were vaccinated but could not download the certificate. They did not ask for proof at check-in. But have it just in case.
  5. Thank for the live. We are on this voyage with you. We stayed at the Hampton inn and were surprised at all the cruisers paying $15 pp for the hotel cruise shuttle. We paid $20 for the two of us for a taxi direct to our ship. We didn't need to be in a crowded bus that stopped at the other terminals. The Emerald is showing her age in places but so am I. The staff says we are at about 1900 passengers. That would be about 60% capacity. The last one was full and a lot of kids on that on over the holidays,
  6. No EU outlet on the wall under the head of the bed? I could be wrong but I think there was when we sailed on the Emerald before. You may need to unplug the nightstand lamp to use it.
  7. We will embark in Ft Lauderdale on the 2nd so following closely. Can you tell me if they have changed the bedside lamps to the new ones with the USB ports on the Emerald yet? Not a big deal, just curious. Hoping for no weather issues.
  8. Emerald, 15 days, $320pp plus added insurance cost, so about $46 per day total. It was the lowest bid at the time.
  9. Just got our bid accepted 13 days out. B2 to MB. 😁
  10. I would would gamble less or not at all if I had to play with additional $$ rather than OBC.
  11. Can go either way. If you don't see it when you set up your casino account at a slot machine, just check with the cashier. I would print off the info for all OBC from Princess so you have a record and the offer number if you should need it.
  12. How about a "love boat" ring tone? https://www.zedge.net/find/ringtones/the love boat
  13. I tried this one time in Mexico years ago. The local kids with no rods, just simple hand lines and live bait, were out fishing me terribly and looked at me like I was from Mars. They were nice enough to offer me some live bait because they felt sorry for my ignorance. ðŸĪŠ
  14. I packed a travel rod, reel and lures once many years ago on Princess without issue, but things may have changed.
  15. Possibly one reason for the change to the term "crew appreciation"? Should just label it crew compensation and be honest about it.
  16. Because people will take the bait. Marketing 101.
  17. I had the same thought. Peoples idea of the "best seats" may not be the reserved section. So they have a reserved seat that may sit empty but sit elsewhere thus taking up 2 seats?
  18. On our upcoming Panama cruise, the the excursion cancellation email came from Princess and the port cancelation email came from the TA. Other times I have received from both or neither, no consistency. Except maybe because we book excursions directly online?
  19. I think that the medallion is indeed a great technical innovation for them. The associated pre-cruise app and the onboard internet service are different issues and still works in progress.
  20. Except it was Princess who introduced the packages and heavily promoted them. They had to know that usage would skyrocket. Also, it does not explain the slow or no internet we experienced during the restart sailings at 60% capacity or less in some cases.
