  1. Based on your comments, the Premier package is definitely not for you. You may want to do the arithmetic for the Plus package, it may or may not be a good deal for you.
  2. It usually stops serving at 1:30 pm. That just means you have to enter the door by 1:30 pm - you don't have to order by then. It's usually one of the mid-ship dining rooms, but sometimes it's the aft dining room. If you give more information about your ship and itinerary, someone may have a specific answer.
  3. If you book with a travel agent, then you must cancel through that agent. Princess won't handle it with you directly. If you did not book through a travel agent, then you can't contact a travel agent to cancel. You have to deal directly with Princess yourself.
  4. We were looking at different versions of the itinerary. I was looking at the one on the Princess website that is visible to anyone looking to book the tour. You were looking at the one in your Travel Summary. You may want to search for your specific tour on the Princess website and look there also.
  5. Mini-suites do not get the suite perks. However, Reserve Collection Mini-Suites do get some perks of their own - more than other cabins but less than suites.
  6. Good comments. I have a couple of observations to add. I have traveled with my sister-in-law, who is gluten-free but not celiac (so a little cross-contamination is not a problem for her). I don't think it is that important to get the same wait staff each evening, because you are ordering from the Restaurant Manager (aka Head Waiter). I do believe it is easier if you eat in the same MDR so you are dealing with the same Restaurant Manager each day. In the buffet, cross-contamination can definitely be a problem. If you are sensitive enough that it could be a problem for you, ask the chef to serve your plate from the kitchen. Even if things are not contaminated when placed on the buffet, passengers may switch serving utensils from one dish to another.
  7. I just looked at the descriptions of Tour 4G and Tour 3G in October 2023. The description of 20-Day Ultimate Australia - Tour 4G includes the following after selecting "Read more" for Uluru (ayers Rock), Australia: Sun, Oct 29 Uluru (ayers Rock), Australia Rise early and travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area to watch the first rays of the sun rise over the desert landscape. Be mesmerized by the changing colors of Uluru at first light and experience the wonder of the Australian Outback as the dawn emerges. Then travel to the airport for a flight to Darwin. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Hilton Darwin. (B) The description of 19-Day Australian Outlook - Tour 3G includes the following after selecting "Read more" for Sat, Oct 28 and Sun, Oct 29 in Uluru (ayers Rock), Australia: Sat, Oct 28 Uluru (ayers Rock), Australia Enjoy seamless travel as you board a plane to Cairns. Tour the rainforest village of Kuranda before a one-way Skyrail journey for aerial views of Baron Falls. Overnight Pullman Cairns. (B) Sun, Oct 29 Uluru (ayers Rock), Australia Today's activities are among the most exciting - unwind aboard a reef cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world's most phenomenal UNESCO World Heritage Sites! Dive or snorkel among the colorful corals and unusual fish beneath the water's surface, and don't worry about breakfast or lunch - we'll make sure you get fed! Overnight Pullman Cairns. (B,L) Note the "(B)", "(B)", and "(B,L)" after the descriptions for each day. I have seen this same meal information on the description of every Princess pre-cruise and post-cruise tour that I've looked at.
  8. Look at the Itinerary & Experience tab in the Cruise Personalizer for your tour. For the date at Ayers Rock, click on "Read more" at the end of the description. In parentheses at the end of the description will be one or more of the letters "B", "L", and "D". This will tell you what meals are included. The description will also describe any special inclusions.
  9. If you upgrade in advance, you are not purchasing a package - you are changing to a different fare, subject to the normal penalties if cancelling after final payment. If you have Princess Vacation Protection, then this increase in your fare causes an increase in the cost of your Princess Vacation Protection. The extra $67 on the 7-day cruise is 8% of the increased fare of $840, so this would be the cost of Princess Vacation Protection. The extra 233 on the 12-day cruise is 16% of the additional fare - I have no idea what the additional 8% is for.
  10. A tub shower may be easier for some - but not for others. DW has mobility problems and has problems climbing into the tub. A walk-in shower is much better. For this reason, we never book mini-suites on Princess.
  11. It depends on the airline and airport. DW usually uses a wheelchair in an airport. I have asked several times if I could push her instead of waiting for a pusher. I've received the following responses at different times and places: Yes, no problem. I'm welcome to push her. No, I have to wait for a pusher. No, I have to wait for a pusher. But when a pusher did not arrive after a period of time, the gate agent then said I could push her. Ask the gate agent when you check in or the person at the wheelchair desk if there is one. You won't know until you ask.
  12. There is no additional charge for the first two people if the third person cancels, unlike the additional single supplement charged if the second person cancels. However, if the first or second person cancels, then the third person becomes the second person at an increased fare.
  13. I would not suggest deliberately getting Covid in order to use up you non-refundable OBC and to get it reimbursed by insurance. I'm sure you can find more fun ways to spend your OBC. If not, I'll be happy to spend it for you.😉
  14. You have $644.50 in Previously Made Reservations, and you paid $519.65 in Previous Payments Received, so you have used $124.85 in OBC. Not counting the Gift Credits, you have a total of $392.50 in OBC, so you have $267.65 in remaining OBC (not counting the Gift Credits). I don't know why Princess charged your credit card that much. I suspect one of two reasons: You did not initially have all of that OBC, and you booked excursions before all the OBC was posted. You booked excursions using all of the OBC, and then cancelled some of the excursions. Princess did not refund your credit card, because the total excursions cost was still more than the amount paid by credit card. I have several other things to do, and I won't be doing the arithmetic for everyone on the Roll Call. Anyone (other than Renee😜) should be able to figure it out using these examples.
  15. I've found the only really good option for disembarkation. Stay on the ship for a B2B.
  16. Since you are referencing your Personalizer, I assume you are referring to checking excursion reservations and OBC in advance of the cruise - not onboard. Select any available excursion to book. Select a time and select all guests in cabin and click on "ADD TO CART". Click on "PAY NOW". You will get a list of the new excursions to book - one for each passenger you selected. Click on "PAY NOW". You will then see an EXCURSION RESERVATIONS SUMMARY for each passenger. It will show "Reservations in Cart" (the new ones you just entered), "Previously Made Reservations" (the total for reservations already booked), "Previous Payments Received" (the total credit card payments you've already made for excursions), and "Onboard credits applied" (the total OBC already applied to excursions). It will also show the "Subtotal" due for each passenger and the "Total Balance Due" if you want to book these new excursions. If you click on "Show Credits" under "Onboard credits applied", it will show you all of your OBC. Two ways to calculate remaining OBC separately for each passenger: Subtract "Onboard credits applied" from "Total" under "Show Credits". The difference is the remaining OBC available. Subtract "Subtotal" payable from "Reservations in Cart". This difference is the amount of OBC to pay for this excursion. Now that you have completed your calculations, select "Remove" besides each excursion in the list. Note that you have not reserved any new excursions and you have not charged anything to your credit card or to your OBC.
  17. Once it has been verified on your Personalizer, if it has not been applied to all of your booked cruises, call Princess or your travel agent if you used one. I wouldn't count on their system automatically applying it to existing bookings once approved.
  18. The problem is with the Kindle e-reader - not with other tablets. The Kindle Fire is a fully functional tablet with normal internet access. The Kindle e-reader is a special purpose e-reader with limited internet access.
  19. The limitation is in the Kindle - not the ship's internet. The ship's internet requires you to log on using your credentials. This may be difficult to do on the Kindle. You may be able to do it, but it's a lot easier to download all the books at home.
  20. It may be easier to respond to these questions if you mentioned their ages. There's a lot of difference between a 17-year-old minor and a 6-year-old minor, and some of the rules and procedures may be different depending on their age. You may not be able to list one of them as owner of a credit card. You would need to enter your credit card and then list them as authorized users. I don't know how to do that for someone in a different cabin - maybe someone else will be able to answer. When onboard, depending on their age and maturity, you may want to put a limit on their charging privileges. You would do that at Guest Services onboard. Have the kids been able to log on to their own account on the app from home? If so, they probably can onboard.
  21. It depends on the itinerary - Quebec City to New York, New York to Quebec City, and Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale may be different. Once she is in Caribbean, things may change again. I am on the October 19th cruise from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale with two formal nights and ten smart casual nights. The first formal night is already listed in JourneyView in the app. It is October 17th (the first sea day). The first formal night is also the "Captain's Champagne Waterfall". The second formal night is not yet listed, but it will be either October 28th or 29th at the end of the cruise. This cruise has three sea days at the end, and the last night is never a formal night. You can find the formal nights in JourneyView by looking for "Formal Portraits Tonight" in the list of Events as soon as they are listed - sometimes in advance, sometimes not.
  22. This was a good idea before, but it's an even better idea now, since those with Premier get free digital copies of every picture they're in. I haven't bothered with pictures on Princess before, but I will now.
  23. If you don't have Princess Vacation Protection, I would not expect Princess to waive the cancellation fees. This itinerary change is certainly not within their control. Even if it was, they are not obligated to give refunds according to their passage contract.
  24. My first piece of advice is to read the detailed plan documentation - not just the summary. On Cruise Personalizer, select "Luggage Tag & Travel Summary" at the top of the page. Under Additional Forms & Documents, select "Princess Vacation Protection Plan Description". Under "Princess Vacation Protection - Platinum Plan Details", "Select State" and "Download". I only see states in the United States listed - I don't see provinces in Canada listed. Therefore, I'm not sure if the following applies to Canada as well as the United States. The applicable paragraph for "Vacation Protection "ANY REASON" Travel Credits" says "In the event that you choose to cancel for a reason not authorized above or for a reason that is otherwise restricted, at any time up until departure, and you have purchased Vacation Protection, Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours will provide you a travel credit equal to 100% of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation prepaid to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, for your use toward a future cruise vacation. . . . To be eligible for credits, notification of cancellation must be given to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours prior to the ship’s departure." Note that the only restriction appears to be that you have to notify Princess "prior to the ship's departure."
  25. The smaller ships provide muck boots because their passengers land in Antartica. Princess passengers do not.
