RCCL doesn't have a revenue problem when allowing their drink packages to be used on their multiple private islands.

The Icon of the Seas is targeted toward young families and it's first sailing in January of '24' is completely sold out.....15 months ahead of it's departure date.

I was able to do it on my Sept '21' and Oct '21' cruises on Oasis, and my Nov '21' Symphony sailing. But, wasn't able to do it last week on the Oasis this time. Specific to particular bar manager's rules?

Symphony has Playmakers on it's boardwalk, Allure still has the pay-Mexican restaurant. No ridiculous Abyss slide on Allure.

This is how I feel when I see the "pizza" they serve onboard. As someone from the NE, NJ specifically, it boggles my mind when I see those 30-minute+ lines.

Were you at Playmakers often? If you were, I bet we drank at the same bar a few times.

I hung on my balcony on the Oasis with a beer bucket to watch some college football last Saturday and did not come across anything like the Big 10 on Fox. It was only Houston/Navy and UT Martin/Tennessee on the noon slate. I was able to stream OK St/Baylor on my laptop. In fact, they couldn't show any Phillies NLCS games because the ship couldn't show anything on FOX (no contract). A lot of unhappy Phillies fans onboard.

Wholeheartedly agree. I became diamond last year after covid changed diamond protocols. I was in the diamond lounges of the Oasis and Symphony and just didn't understand the furor over it. I'm sure it was different when that was the only place to the complimentary drinks, but now??.....Meh.

I was in the cabin to the right last week. Nice short walk to Playmakers.

Guess I'll find out the same time you will. I'll be onboard next week too. 🙂

Benny, any word on when/if Starlink will be installed on the Oasis?

Any reason why the barstools are removed at the Playmakers bar?

Andrew, is there any possibility you can check out Playmakers some time tonight to see if they get the Thursday Night Football game onboard? I know it's been reported that RCL does get it through the Amazon Prime stream, I'm just looking for consistiency. TIA,

They'll have it showing on whatever ships have the movie screen on lido, Red Frog Pub and on a few of the TVs around the casino.

Freedom and Independence have Playmakers sports bar & arcade. Liberty doesn't.

The price for a Christmas sailing is about twice as high as the few weeks before it. Major mark-up in fare.

After that, any chance of you going across the boardwalk to check out how many NFL games are being shown at Playmakers? 🙂

Sounds good to me. Already put OSU -15 in before it crawls up before game time.

Oregon @ Georgia at 3:30, and ND @ Ohio St. at 7:30 are pretty high profile games. Though they're both on ABC.....don't know if Carnival would feature that channel.

At least the full college football schedule kicks in today.
