    The best non-Casino Carnival offer for me was $83 for an 8-night interior on the Conquest Southern Caribbean itinerary.

    I would venture to guess Heald is referring to the sliding glass doors that Carnival FINALLY put on their most recent builds. Not the heavy swing doors that one needs a bungee cord or cabin furniture to prop open.

    "Routine"? Then explain why Carnival is THE only cruise line that deploys drug-sniffing dogs for departing cruises at the Port Canaveral terminal.

    According to the Feb 12, Day 2 Freestyle, there's no listing of the Super Bowl being shown anywhere. Really??

    Absolutely. I had the entirety of Playmakers on Oasis to myself during the late Sunday afternoon games thanks to people prioritizing dinner in the MDR. (it was a 35% capacity cruise and one of the first of the restart). Never underestimate the volumes of people who want to dress to the nines to eat mediocre food for 2 hours.

    You might have a decent shot of getting a good seat in your desired location. The Super Bowl will be kicking off at a prime dining time for elegant night.

    But those casino, shops and bars aren't getting hours cut short. 💸

    Unless you're a heavy casino player (4-8 hours/day), Carnival isn't very interested in their long-time cruisers. They're more interested in new cruisers who don't take notice to the cutbacks. My take is that Carnival wants their Platinum-type customers to move over to Princess/Holland American to make room for the newbies.

    I'd choose location/interior. The porthole becomes an interior at night anyway, and the location is less than ideal.

    My best bet would be on the 2 screens at the Aqua Theater on the boardwalk.

    Did you notice if they were showing college and NFL games at the Pit Stop Bar. Looking to go in January and was hoping they'd have the NFL playoffs showing in there. TIA.

    It's not about "entitlement". If they were making small talk with the wait staff, (how long have you been with the cruise line, what's life like in your home country) that's fine. But to be interrupted with "how is your meal" and "make sure you select 10 on your survey" 7-10 times by 4 different people every night of your dining experience gets at least uncomfortable if not annoying.

    Constantly interrupting diners with questions that they're forced to ask is not seeking a bit of joy.

    They show NHL regular season games at Playmakers on RCL, as well as NBA, NCAA sports AND Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. Plus, being diamond, the 4 comp drinks/day at Playmakers is a nice place to enjoy them.

    Hopefully, they'll have some NFL on today. Yesterday wasn't looking good.

    Like the similarly-built Carnival Vista class, this ship gets some of the worst space-to-passenger ratio scores in the industry. Plus, no SkyBox sports bar.

    Don't these people know that wearing shorts in the MDR affects the quality of the food?

    I was on the Oasis 10/16 sailing out of Bayonne. There was no mandatory masking of the crew whatsoever.
