Carnival corp. okayed the premise of sports gambling last June, and Princess was to be the cruise line to first offer it. Apparently, something is causing a delay. Perhaps, they'll have to expand some of the dedicated sports bars if they finally get around to it.

And the Quantum class Esplanade is any different?

If the space that's lIsted to have Heroes Bar is an indicator, there won't be an adequate area to view the games with such an anticipated volume of people. And from the report I've read on the newly reappointed Luminosa, there's no sports bar whatsoever.

Any word on the updates INSIDE the ship?

If watching football is a priority, Royal absolutely blows Carnival away with coverage of multiple games.....especially if the RCL ship has a Playmakers bar onboard.

I enjoy spending NFL Sundays at Playmakers and the Crunch Roll w/parmesan fries is my staple there. Ate the Portside BBQ a few times. Try to get there when there's no live music playing. Trying to eat with company and shouting over the amplified guitars and voices was a challenge.

Guess MSC is going to find out real soon as the Meraviglia will arrive in NYC (Brooklyn) in 2 days to start year-round sailings.

I paid $275 for a HMC cabana in March 2019. They want $699 for the same thing for my May sailing. Lol. Ok

I don't even think about using those things. 1. You have no idea who's used them and what for. 2. I'm sure they're not on the priority list for cleaning.

The "Bribes" Carnival comes up with are to the REAL spenders onboard, the casino players. I've been platinum on CCL since 2013 and my offers are laughable. A few people I know who are nowhere near my level of cruise points get free suite/balcony offers because they average 8 hours/day onboard gambling.

LOL I'd do the same. The only reason I sail out of the Northeast is because the cost of flight/hotel/ground transportation/night's worth of spending is usually more expensive than the cruise.

Sailed the Anthem of the Seas twice during the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas in both 2016 and 2017. Didn't ask for the passenger count, but the ship certainly wasn't empty. "Behomoths"....like the Mardi Gras which you sailed a few times? Anthem is smaller with a far lower passenger max than Mardi Gras. The Oasis has the same passenger count capacity as Mardi Gras but is 45,000 Gross Tonnes bigger. The space-to-passenger number for those RCL ships are vastly better than the Excel AND Vista class. As an aside, why is it that Carnival doesn't have an issue with sailing a ship out of Baltimore year round?

Yet, Royal Caribbean keeps sailing out of Bayonne year round without too much difficulty sailing full.

I realize that. I was pretty asking those that have sailed ships already with Heroes bar onboard (Panorama, Mardi Gras, etc.)

Looking to possibly book the Venezia out of New York in either October or November. I like to watch the football games and enjoy a few beers while onboard. My questions are, does Heroes show both college and NFL games or do they just show whatever the national game listed for that weekend? And is there ample space to sit and watch? TIA

They had breakfast at the El Loco on Oasis when I sailed it 4 times.

12 nighter on the Venezia balcony cabin offer is $565 with $300 OBC....so, $265. If I book without casino offer, it's $2770. So if I lose $2,500 on the cruise, I feel like I'm breaking even.

Half Moon Cay is a very soft, smooth sandy bottom. Absolutely no need for water shoes there.

More privacy on the Ocean Suite balcony than the aft balcony.

Being from Jersey, we have the option of taking the NJ Transit train to NY Penn Station then taxi to the Manhattan cruise terminal. Lugging the baggage and not knowing who will sitting in your car is a detriment but haven't had any problems yet. 🤞
