  1. I've spent a sea day NFL Sunday or 3 doing this. It's only a $5 charge after the voucher and one gets about 4-4.5 pint glasses out of 1 pitcher. And my server places a baggie full of ice inside the pitcher after he or she pours my first glass to keep it cold.
  2. I thought the beach in South Beach was nicer, but the water was uninviting and sludgy. Chill Island has nicer water and is closer to the Chill grill.
  3. The price for the Key on my Oct Oasis sailing is $34.99/day. LOL .....uh, no.
  4. Spoken (or written) like a true shareholder.
  5. Did they at least hide some cruise ducks at the reception?
  6. Might be more than a coincidence that Carnival is the one with a cap of 15 for their drink package and why it's not honored on their private island. They know their clientele.
  7. I was booked for this cruise, but I rebooked for Sept. once I received the email for the $40 shakedown "Application" for Bermuda and all the hoops I'd have to dance through for a 7.5 hour stop. I was a member of the FB group and there was a lot of unhappy posts over those 4 days. Thank God I didn't move it to the next sailing.
  8. The embarkation for your cruise was a nightmare to say the least.
  9. Tell you what. Google map NYC cruise terminal and see if it takes you to the Oasis or Adventure out of Bayonne.
  10. I like the Oasis class (especially those with Playmakers). NOT a fan of the Quantum class (Anthem).
  11. In my recent experiences on board Oasis (Sept & Oct) and Symphony (late Nov into Dec), college football was on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and SECnw. Unfortunately, if you're a Bama fan, they usually have them on the prime mid-afternoon CBS game. But as far as viewing college FB, I was able to watch them from the TV in my cabin or in Playmakers, but basically whatever the 4 ESPN channels were showing.
  12. Playmakers on Indy and Freedom are massive. Are they showing U.S. sports (MLB or Stanley Cup)?
  13. Doesn't look completely shaded to me. I would NEVER have dropped $150 for what I could've gotten complimentary. (except for the $12 on 4 bottles of water.)
  14. Baltimore doesn't go to Grand Turk. A 7 nighter out of Baltimore goes to HMC, Nassau and.............FREEPORT!!!
  15. Ever sail Royal Caribbean during a weekend during football season? While they do show cricket or soccer, they do stream NFL and college football through the ESPN channels.
  16. According to the NFL schedule, the only 2 Thursdays that the games won't be exclusively on Amazon Prime are the opening game in week 1 (on NBC) and the 3 Thanksgiving games that will be on national channels. All other Thursday night games will need an Amazon Prime account.
  17. I would assume one would have to have an Amazon Prime account to do that.
  18. Yes, I believe Carnival uses the ESPN channel to stream the NFL games through. That's why, at least 4 years ago, I watched about 4 early Sunday games, a few later games too. I was just wondering if they use can use Direct TV or whatever Carnival uses to broadcast the TNF game through Amazon.
  19. I'm not so sure Carnival will be able to show it around the ship (Sky Box bar, casino bars, Red Frog Pub) with it being strictly on Amazon unless Carnival has Direct TV.
  20. I'll be on the Magic in September and I'm wondering if Carnival will have the Thursday night game on or will it be blocked because Amazon Prime has acquired the rights to the game. I'm skeptical that Carnival's weak wifi service will have the capacity to stream it on my laptop/phone. Any IT folks able to offer advice?
  21. I cruise during the Fall most often and I like to check out College/NFL onboard. I've noticed that when the CD is male, there's more of a priority to have the games showing of TVs around the ship, even the large screens.
  22. In my recent experience onboard Oasis and Symphony last fall, they showed at least 3 12noon ET college game on Espn, Espn2, EspnU and SEC network in the cabin AND Playmakers.. You didn't even have to leave your cabin, but you had to keep changing the channels to view all the games. After that, at least 2college games would shown at the prime time slots throughout Saturday. As far as the NFL, Playmakers is hard to beat. Out of 8 early Sunday games, they had 6 of them showing and then all late afternoon games, the SNF, MNF and TNF games were all shown. When I was on Allure, they had 2 NFL games showing in each time slot in the cabin. Luck of the draw as to which games they showed. The OnAir club on deck 5 would have them on also.....which will be closer to your scenario on the Harmony. Also, as far as this season goes, I can't tell you if the ships will show the NFL games on Thursday night now that Amazon Prime is taking over that broadcast.
  23. A quick google search of the Mariner's deck plans would've saved you the time from posting misinformation.
  24. Gotta ask.......if you were just on a cruise 2 weeks ago, why are you asking about mask mandates?
