  1. "Technical" problems?? Don't tell me they have turned the Princess App IT team onto the kitchen works now!! 🙃
  2. Be careful. They don't like us doing this.
  3. There is no need to cancel/rebook. If you cancel, the refund will be OBC to cabin account. If you then rebook, the charge goes to cabin account and you are back where you started. Your agent's gift will be OBC so other charges will be covered by it. Or go a second time. Only way to get refunded to credit card is to cancel now and wait to book SD restaurant on board.
  4. The elevator ought to be connected to read Medallions on board and recalibrate.
  5. This is very typical formatting (mushed together) for EZ, but will not be an issue.
  6. Right. Well WS and AC are PITA due to no seat selection prior to ticketing. I have seen nothing in terms of changes with EZair. I realize it is the airlines that set the rules. All I am saying is when allowed to pre-select seats during the EZ booking process, I have never been forced to ticket my flight.
  7. I have pre-selected seating in EZair bookings every time when able to do so (i.e. allowed). This was been done months before ticketing date and never caused nor required ticketing. Several years ago, I did explicitly request ET so I could do seat selection on Air Canada. So, I do disagree with your premise and also am aware many other members here have also been able to do seat selection - depending on airline and class of ticket - without generating ticketing. If this is a recent change, then secretive Princess needs to pony up and publish it.
  8. Thanks for explaining. I guess we should all be more aware. But Princess is the problem if they are ticketing without advising guests and still have the 45-day policy.
  9. Totally agree with you and aligns with my original post in this thread. It may not be OP's fault if EZair/Princess did early ticketing.
  10. To be fair, had you booked directly with Delta, you would be facing the same situation. Paid-for tickets looking to change dates means a likely fare increase, plus a change fee. So, this doesn't seem like an EZair issue. Still not sure how you ended up requesting early ticketing since seat selection on Delta ought to be part of the booking process as indicated in above post.
  11. I noticed last year that I could still go in and shop flights after I had done ticketing and it was still >45 days. I didn't want to change anything as I had super pricing, but I was curious a time or two as to what things were like close to the limit of 45 days. Presumably, I was not being surcharged - just a higher price. (This was for international one-ways each way and not domestic like the OP's situation).
  12. No, that is not true. Many airlines do allow seat selection as you are making the EZair booking. Others will not allow it until ticketed. You have to explicitly request Early Ticketing in EZair page to make that happen (or call in to do that). When requesting early ticketing, the flight has to be fully paid for. Just because you selected a seat does not mean the flight is ticketed. Has EZair changed a policy and presented a message or warning that selecting a seat means you will be ticketed immediately? Doesn't make sense to me as guests are typically booking flights long before Final Payment date and you cannot be ticketed without paying.
  13. This has changed for some time now. The internet pricing is the same pre-cruise as on board. An advantage for ordering on board is you can use OBC to pay for it if you have the OBC to spend and not already ear-marked for other expenses.
  14. Welcome to CC and Princess forum. How did you book the original flights? Have you logged into the Cruise Personalizer and gone to EZair page to check on flight options for yourself? Yes, the normal ticketing time is around the 45 day mark. If the guest requests early ticketing, it can be sooner, but then the ticket becomes subject to airline rules. It seems obvious you did not request early ticketing. Use the EZair page in Cruise Personalizer and shop for a new flight and see what happens. You can always back out and keep what you have. All things considered, it is certainly expected that flights will cost more today since your desired departure date is closer than when you booked. PS - You probably got the overseas call center and they are poor with some info they give out. Don't call Princess to make flight changes - do it yourself.
  15. Mostly true, but experienced cruisers know the boarding window begins well before Princess indicates in the Travel Summary.
  16. But cancel at least a week prior to cruising. If you cancel late or on board, you have to settle for OBC to cabin account.
  17. Agree. In the past, I have seen the cabanas sitting there empty taking up Sanctuary real estate that easily could have been filled with revenue-making loungers.
  18. Yes, you can purchase single day coverage for Medallion Net internet service. I had always assumed it was for the calendar day, but recent reports indicate it lasts for 24 hours from when you activate the purchase. You can also sign up for internet service part way through the voyage and have it for the balance of the trip. The rate for that is the same daily rate as for the full voyage - so less than the single-day rate for random days. New rate is $25/day for single device and $30/day for 1-off days booked.
  19. If you have seen the many photos and videos on the original (now locked) Sun thread or in the Live From by CanadianBurger, you can get a good sense of the balcony size. It does seem PCL has learned a lesson from the postage-stamp size on Royal Class and improved the space for regular balcony even if a little.
  20. That was just one of the unfortunate losses if the thread is gone. That said, a locked thread just means no new posts allowed, whereas a deleted thread is permanently gone.
  21. It seems to me, Princess does similar, providing when there is an extended balcony. Of course those longer balconies on the Sun have a higher/premium rating. I don't see them installing two loungers and chairs on a Mini with a small balcony just because it's a Mini.
  22. Not only shorted, but no variety if you wanted that. Should be 10 alcohol/beer. Surely they would have had at least enough beer to fill the quota? I always get 10 beer.
  23. I have never seen a cabin door decorated in a manner that would even remotely invoke a political theme.
  24. Are you sure the crew are not also connected to internet? Why wouldn't they be?
