The other lines did not have a mini bar that could be traded in for 2 coffee packages. Now Princess does not either. Princess used to have a Loyalty Program that meant something but not now. Yes there is more than one reason to switch to another line including not missing what was never experienced, We have no reason to buy the Plus packages.. They seem to think all passengers want to drink liquor and eat high sugar deserts to enjoy a cruise. Many do but many also do not and paying an extra 60 a day is not going to happen. for us. Each to their own. Continue to support these changes and do not be suprised when they go up and up and up. We set out limit and Princess has exceeded it for the time being.

Another reason to abandon Princess for other cruise lines.

You could have used EZ Check for your bags if you had a late flight. Bags go from the ship to your destination airport. Then take he Uber with no checkd luggage.

Most cruise lines have no "stated dress codes". They do have published dress suggestions as you stated.

We have found over the years it is easier and worth the extra cost to just fly into Vancouver. Our daughter then picks us up at her designated Sky terminal station. We tried the Seattle to Vancouver route and felt it was just not worth it for us. Each to their own though

As long as their is a daily gratuity we will only tip our room steward an amount we feel is proper for services rendered. That is and will always be the way we do it. It is not up to the customer to increase the pay for all the employees of the cruise line. That is what the cruise fare is for. We agree that the tipping culture is getting out of hand and will no longer participate. Let the cruise lines pay a "decent" salary as we will no longer subsidize it.

Was just there late last year. The tour guides stated several times there is not a lot of what cruisers might look for in town. When we toured the town at the end of the excursion we agreed with them. Eagle photography and sighting is one of the positives for Haines as it has the largest eagle population of any city in Alaska. I guess it comes down to what each cruiser is expecting and looking for.

But other than excursions this is little to do in Haines.

Face does not get it as bad as the neck. There is also zinc based sunblock made for the face which is easier to cover than the neck. Just us a mirror of some sort.
