  1. You can just select your cruise and scroll down until you see this Check-In With the MedallionClass™ App 1 1 Download the MedallionClass™ app Don't have a compatible device? Try our web version(opens in a new window)
  2. Have you checked to see if your app has an update? If not delete it then try reinstalling that works for most bugs, and if not below is another option. For one of my cruises I had to make them on the desktop. Log in and select your cruise then scroll down until you see this (Try our web version) and the option to make reservations was in there for me. 1 Download the MedallionClass™ app Don't have a compatible device? 3. Our airport hotel had a shuttle that took us to 13 Coins for dinner. Nice way to relax after our flight down,
  4. Wow I'm old enough to remember a lot of the original episodes.
  5. Standard balcony cabins have nowhere to sit other than the bed or the one chair provided. I would look at the deluxe balcony or mini suite. If you choose a cabin that just has a shower which are quite small I’ve seen photos where parents bring a small blow up pool and put it in the shower.
  6. I found if I keep tapping the log in button it will sign me in. Usually a couple taps will do it. YMMV
  7. Check your credit card statement to see if one of them is a pending charge that will drop off in a few days. It may be just the way they process the photos you bought.
  8. If I have questions I use the Chat option in Facebook Messenger and have for years. Outstanding customer service always and the response time is usually pretty quick.
  9. On a few cruises I have requested a mattress topper from my cabin steward and it’s worth it to me to tip extra for that. Recent cruises we have either stayed at the front or the aft and tip extra for room service, drinks etc these cabins are the furthest away from the bars, kitchen etc. Absolutely worth the $2 or so extra I tip to have someone deliver my orders especially morning coffees. Its an individual choice and I’ve been told I was virtue signaling by posting that we tip extra but to me it’s no different than a land based restaurant we tip above the norm if we feel the level of service warrants it.
  10. Invited Member must be booked and stay in the free room and sail on entire cruise. If, for any reason, the Invited Member does not sail but the guest does, guest will be charged the full fare. Not sure though if they would have to pay the full single supplement, I would consider just canceling it altogether.
  11. If you check the Abbotsford airports website there is a shuttle option. I haven’t used it but they were very responsive when I called for a price. We Ubered out to Abbotsford last year and it was $64 IIRC non surge pricing.
  12. Mine expires in December’23 and I received an email from them last week advising me to renew now. My last renewal did not require an interview hoping that has not changed. IIRC they have extended the grace period to 12 from 6 months for those that have sent in their renewal application.
  13. International flight recommendation is still 3 hours prior I believe. Do you know how many ships are in port that day, makes a huge difference for transportation to and checking in at the airport.
  14. You can buy it onboard first day of your cruise for the same price. Unless you purchased insurance through Princess and then it is a bit cheaper as it doesn’t become part of your fare.
  15. Download the borderlineups.com app and you can check border traffic in real time with video. We did this trip in reverse last year cruising out of Seattle we live about 5 minutes from the Sumas border crossing and if IIRC we left around 6 AM. We did a RT coastal last year out of Vancouver BIL dropped us off about 9:30 AM and only one other Celebrity ship in port that day. We were lucky only took us about 90 minutes to get through as its all one line until you go through security, others not so fortunate it took 3 hours or more to get through. I would not make any hard and fast plans until I actually get there and see what its like before heading out. Booked for Alaska in September fortunately only one ship in port that day
  16. I found another use for the wall magnets about 3 cruises ago, they are awesome for easy access to my tip $$ that I happy to give to the person who brings my order. They are usually in and out so quick that I like to be prepared. Some of our cabins are either way aft or at the very front of the ship, so a lot of walking. We also order to Skywalkers so worth it to us.
  17. Just a heads up I asked for a hand held shower which was great, but there was nowhere to put it when shampooing, soaping etc and just having it dangling drove me crazy. My cabin steward wasn't happy but I had it removed and just used a washcloth. This cabin also didn't have any kind of a shelf in the shower which is not at all standard in the showers, not sure why this one had nothing.
  18. We enjoyed our short stay in Long Beach. The bar/restaurant in the lobby had a decent menu for a quick dinner and the little coffee place had bagels and coffee for breakfast. Staff at check in were great and on our way to the room my husband was dehydrated and started cramping up and they quickly brought him 2 bottles of water, thank goodness for electrolytes in powder form. Hope you enjoy your stay and how lucky to be able to travel with family.
  19. Hi Jeannie, we Uber but just make sure if you have to stand in the shuttle you hang on. Fell last year when she hit the gas, my fault for letting go of the pole. We are booked into the Westin again for December, and have had some really nice price drops this week saving us about $70 so far. We enjoyed our stay there and even though the Crowne Plaza is more convenient Westin wins hands down..
  20. Last year for my cruise to Alaska on the Crown I was in cabin R746 which is the last balcony cabin on the port side. Huge balcony and incredible views. I loved it back there, a few steps up to the pool, bar and buffet. Rear elevators went straight up to Skywalkers which we really enjoy. IMO not all aft cabins are a downgrade. Maybe once you're onboard take a walk down that way and see for yourself.
  21. This is what you agreed to when you booked your cruise. Personally we love the aft cabins and would be perfectly happy there. Spells out pretty clearly if you want a specific location to book a cabin in that location. f you create this booking for the selected stateroom type and fare, then the location of your stateroom will be assigned prior to embarkation. You will receive your room assignment within your requested stateroom type. Should you prefer to confirm your stateroom in your ideal location today, then please check availability in other ship locations. Select the option to choose your own stateroom.
  22. We live less than 10 minutes from the border and fly out of Bellingham WA airport for the same reasons. We have Nexus which helps and it's a nice drive down. We've flown out of Vancouver twice in over 20 years and only because we had to. Bonus South West now flies from there and when we cruise out of San Pedro flying in and out of Long Beach is way more convenient than LAX.
  23. Haven't yet cruised from San Francisco but have recently done 3 coastal cruises. 2 in 2022 and 1 this year in April. We are seniors and never once felt unsafe but so far have only gone to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. We live outside of Vancouver BC and sadly things have changed here also. But I would not cancel we Uber whenever we leave the ship and are cruising to Hawaii again in December but out of San Pedro on the Discovery.
  24. I've used it a few times and have nothing but good things to say about it, so nice not to have to drag my luggage around. Just make sure to ask when you will be receiving the option to do this, for some reason my cabin steward on one of my cruises did not drop off the sign up sheet and I barely made the cutoff. IIRC it was Wednesday? for a Saturday departure.
