  1. I will not be booking NCL until I can reasonably expect:

    1. Entertainment other than game shows.

    2. That the itinerary I book will be the itinerary I sail, barring unforseen weather or mechanical problems. What's up with them dropping the Napali coast cruising on POA? Antartica anyone?

    3. That my cabin will be serviced no later than 2 each day AND that I have access to my cabin on embarkation day no later than 1:30.

    4. That a drink package in Europe starts at embarkation, not whatever time NCL decides it does...last summer's cruises where NCL blamed local laws for delay...why weren't other cruise lines affected?

I really liked NCL since I often cruise solo but their cuts have ruined the product for me.

  2. @princess76021 I wanted to thank-you for sharing your situation.  It has increased my awareness of how fortunate I am to have DH, 39 years this May.  It is so easy to become complacent and not fully enjoy what we have when we have it.  Thinking good thoughts for you this weekend.

@mopedmom1 I'm glad to hear you're doing better.  How can it be that so much time has passed?

    How is your dad?

  3. @TxTeach79 and @TravelGirlinDallas I've downloaded the new Princess App.  No issues and they still start showing activities early on.  Right now mine is just showing quizzes at 4 each day but our Princess cruise isn't until the end of August so that's understandable.

@BohJang also seriously thinking about emptying our house before putting it on the market. Of course I still need to decide when I'm actually starting that process...do I want to sell during the summer and possibly get more money or do I want to wait for fall and not mess with two moves?

Checked in for our Quantum cruise this morning, 45 days to go.

  4. To continue the colonoscopy topic… my sister has one on Tuesday afternoon, she was told nothing but clear liquids after Monday lunch. My questions are does liquor count as a clear liquid and what about coffee? They said Gatorade was ok but ick.

BLTs…I don’t use lettuce either and I won’t make them without garden tomatoes. Avocado is a plus but not a required component.

Black jelly beans are the best but I’m not paying the crazy prices I’m seeing. Will wait till the day after Easter and buy several bags at 99 cents a bag…my normal practice.

Finally, Sun Princess and Icon look amazing!!!  Anyone sailing on either in the near future?  Have you seen the Empire Supper Club menu on Icon? I will definitely be doing that.

  5. I understand liability but honestly, if I was iffy about even scheduling the test I’d use all the nonsense as a sign telling me to skip it. I’m the world’s biggest baby about any medical or dental procedure and don’t go in unless required to for prescription refills. Actually I shouldn’t say ALL medical procedures…if it’s plastic surgery I’m Miss Cooperative and of course I’ll get the blood work and other labs done. Yep, I’m a winner.

Another Monday morning at the 'ol salt mine... Slow here so far, but we've been staying busy cleaning up the disaster from last Friday. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do for dinner tonight. I'd considered Chop's, but do I really have two hundred bucks to spend on one meal? I might just walk over to Kyma, a nice Mediterranean place and get takeout. Their signature octopus is the best in all of Atlanta. Add in a few more items, and I can probably get out of there for $75... Much better than $200... Probably just going to be survival food for lunch if it ever gets here...

I don't know Sid, what was her favorite food?  Maybe go w/ that?

  7. @dmet0225 Happy Birthday!

@BohJang I'm right there with you on the house de-cluttering.  Our new house is supposed to be ready between December and March so I have a lot of time but we may sell and move sooner if I start feeling edgy about housing prices.  We can do a short term rental in SC.  DH is loathe to get rid of anything but I told him last week that he might want to think about how much he really wants to pack things, load things into a truck or trailer, drive things cross country, unload boxes of things, and finally find a place for things.  I think that helped, he finally started a Goodwill pile. We don't plan on taking anything but clothing, cookware, a much pared down book collection, and china.  Hopefully I can get everything into one of the small trailers.  I'll get my Swedish death cleaning done 30 years early, yay for me 🙂

Congrats on March 31 retirement.  I have 10 months to go...theoretically.

    @pe4all Hope you're feeling better.
