  1. About the only way you can get that (especially outside of Canada and United States) is to purchase the most inclusive CDW the car rental company offers i.e. the package with zero payable. Note that CDW is not 'insurance', it's a waiver of costs and expenses the rental company offers for a pretty big price. On the other hand, you can pretty much eliminate risk... don't shred the tires going over security gates though, that is not covered.
  2. You can take a cruise from Japan that ends in Alaska without visiting a Canadian port. Although there will be some Japan port stops. I'm sure you won't get any good suggestions to your question.
  3. I went through the mock booking and ended up with the 'error' message. I then signed in to my Princess account and everything popped up as usual. Price(s) for two upcoming cruises I have, have gone up about 6% over last couple of weeks.
  4. Don't understand the situation or question.
  5. Typically, TPL insurance is required by law in most countries. What this means is that the insurance is included as part of the daily rental fee; seldom should you have to pay extra.
  6. Let's not lose track of what the thread topic is though... removing pre-paid gratuities once onboard. We sort of diverged from this once the idea of including gratuities in the base cost of the cruise was introduced; there are a host of opinions on that but it ignores the topic. I didn't help keeping things on track by introducing taxes and fees... I just wanted to try and make a point about the visibility of all the additional charges a passenger will/may be subject to when booking.
  7. There are not a lot of options for Saguenay to Montreal. Here is a screenshot from Air Canada for the day (I believe) you may be interested in. Flying from Quebec to Montreal is pretty much the same thing; more choices and somewhat shorter flight time.
  8. Why don't they include taxes and fees in the cost of the cruise rather than tack them on at the last?
  9. Well, that's entirely up to you of course.
  10. Here's a diferent story based on recent experience - two cruises from mid-December on out of Fort Lauderdal with both ships chock-a-block full; my wif and I waited a couple of minutes.
  11. I believe that's common with all credit card rental car coverage schemes.
  12. For sure, car rental insurance is a cash cow for car rental companies. Much like CDNPolar, I use my Visa Infinite card to rent and provide coverage. Visa will provide a Certificate of Insurance for the rental period if you phone and ask so that you'll have a specific document showing proof of insurance. My own car insurance will not cover rentals outside of North America.
  13. It's still a measure of relativity, not absolutism. Although I'll allow I believe I'm pretty well off financially.
  14. The price you quoted for four (4) devices over a period of about one month is far too cheap. I suggest you call Princess to get that sorted out beforehand.
  15. Might look into the options. Usually, I just get on a treadmill and run or an elliptical and ellipticate.
  16. If you can figure out ways to get people to work for minimal wages and have your customers 'top them up', you'll be able to own/operate more cruise ships.
  17. I resurrected this thread after my wife asked me whether there would be yoga classes/sessions offered on our upcoming TA in AQ on Ascent. The responses have been great. We both use the gym but I'm not a yoga guy. Neither one of us will be exercising in our cabin; that's for the gym or promenade. It looks as though we should expect to have a couple of mats in the cabin and, if not, I can just ask the steward who will probably be happy to arrange for a delivery. We did not order any of the accessories.
  18. After I posted, I went looking to see whether I could find anything. As you say, it seems this is something that covid closed down and there is no apparent schedule to start up again.
  19. I don't believe you'll be able to accomplish what you're suggesting using a cruise line. Maybe switch your search to cargo ships that carry passengers and book passage for you and all your goods to Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
  20. Yes, a passport card will do the job.
  21. Yesss.... If the cruise goes to Skagway and the passenger wants to take the WPYR tour to Carcross, Yukon, I believe a passport will be required.
  22. WHAT? Sorry, I'm not angry, just partially deaf.
  23. Maybe I've lost the thread on this.... who, exactly, is paying for everything? I'd say that's the deciding factor.
