srpilo Posted April 18, 2018 #876 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Shooters on Deck 6 is a cigar bar. There's even a regular bar in there (manned in the evenings) Also open and manned on some daytimes also, as during NFL football season when there are afternoon games, or events such as MLB baseball playoffs , NBA basketball & NHL hockey playoffs , etc ... cruising princess 1964 Posted June 5, 2018 #878 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Good to see that Princess has done this. We stopped cruising Princess 7 years ago and switched to Celebrity in part to Celebrity's smoking policy. Once people get used to the policy no one really goes against it. Also there is no smoking in the casino on Celebrity either and that is fantastic. The whole ship smells and feels fresher. With more and more people not smoking, the cruise lines will not be losing money just as restaurants and bars in the city where I live have not lost any business. ( No smoking in any restaurant or bar either inside or on a patio) I suspect Princess will even get back some past passengers that left due to smoking being allowed.
billco Posted June 5, 2018 #879 Share Posted June 5, 2018 We recently completed a cruise on the Diamond Princess. There was no smoking permitted inside the ship, including the Casino and Churchill Lounge. I’m not sure if there was a smoking area topside by the pool area. There was a small designated area on the Promenade Deck. On rough weather days the doors to the Promenade Deck would be roped off. Smokers would go under the barriers. 4foryou Posted June 5, 2018 #880 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I would like to hear from smokers about the emerald princess. Are there places inside to smoke other than the casino?
FLCruise7 Posted June 5, 2018 #881 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I would like to hear from smokers about the emerald princess. Are there places inside to smoke other than the casino? Haven't been on the Emerald in a few years, but looking at the deck plan, there's a cigar lounge next to the casino on Deck 6.
CruiseBabys Posted June 6, 2018 #882 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Oh Boo-hoo, My DH smokes and is very mindful not to offend non-smokers (Works both ways FOLKS!). We Love Princess! Will not be booking on "Celebrity" Sent from my SM-G920V using Forums mobile app
4foryou Posted June 6, 2018 #883 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Sorry to hear you don’t like celebrity. We cruised on them years ago and loved the ship. Apparently they aren’t smoker friendly. Never been on any princess ships so that’s what prompted this topic. I see that there’s a cigar lounge next to the casino on emerald princess. Hope the ship won’t disappoint. jamiski Posted June 23, 2018 #884 Share Posted June 23, 2018 For anyone still looking for info on the Emerald. This was from a Patter in May 2018. Patters seem to be the most useful (if you can find a recently posted one for your ship) “Designated sections of night club and casino...Speakeasy Deck 6 for cigars...Deck 7 Starboard Aft...Deck 16 Portside forward near Tradewinds Bar...Deck 17 Starboard aft (under Skywalkers)”

OCruisers Posted June 25, 2018 #889 Share Posted June 25, 2018 Where can you smoke small cigars on the Carribean Princess? In Churchill's ... the cigar lounge. It's rather nice ... has a real bar and confortable seating. Enjoy! :D

billco Posted June 26, 2018 #891 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Any new information for Diamond Princess? We sailed on the Diamond Princess in March and April. As I recall there was no smoking inside the ship including the Casino and Churchill’s. I saw smokers at an area on the Promenade Deck and Outriggers. Salty Dawg Posted July 14, 2018 #892 Share Posted July 14, 2018 I know it is early in the game, but does anyone know where the smoking areas will be on the Sky Princess. Specifically if they are planning to use the aft of Sky deck for smokers like on the Royal and Regal? We are wanting to book Sky Princess and hope someone has heard of the arrangement for smokers. Specifically if they are planning to use the aft of Sky deck for smokers like on the Royal and Regal? I am taking a guess, I would say yes to that. From what I saw on the Royal and Regal, there was coffee there in the morning. Also, bar service during the day.

FLCruise7 Posted July 17, 2018 #896 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Where are the smoking areas on the Caribbean Princess? Just off the CB. There is Churchill Cigar bar deck 6 forward, some slot machines in ththe casino, by the Tradewinds bar on deck 15, deck 7 aft on the starboard side (box on the wall) and a spot up on deck 15 (I think) after you come out of Skywalkers. I usually did Churchill and Tradewinds.

scrappin'mama Posted July 23, 2018 #898 Share Posted July 23, 2018 We just returned from a cruise on the Caribbean Princess. We were very disappointed that guests 2 balconies over smoked several times a day on their balcony, almost every time we were on our balcony. We complained to guest services a couple of times and were told to call them when the guests were smoking. As someone else mentioned, guests should not have to police other guests. That cabin had their do not disturb sign out while they smoked so I'm not sure a staff member would confront them anyway. Smoke detectors in staterooms and on balconies as well as enforcing the fine would help. The smoking policy is clearly stated. There are designated smoking areas. It's extremely inconsiderate for guests to smoke on their balcony.

karabear15 Posted July 23, 2018 #900 Share Posted July 23, 2018 I do not smoke, but my boyfriend does, and occasionally uses a vape thing (clearly I'm not with the lingo)...I'm aware that there are designated smoking sections on the Royal, but when utilizing a vape pen, do the same rules still apply, or are you able to utilize them in your cabin/on your balcony?
