Casino Question

At the beginning of your cruise you set up your players bank in the casino with your sail and sign card and a 4 digit pin code. It's easy but the casino hosts are always happy to help. When you're playing a machine and you want to leave or cash out the money on the machine will transfer to your players bank when you remove your card. You can then go to another machine and pull money off your players bank and transfer to a new machine or go to the casino cashier and cash out.

On all Carnival ships, you use your Sail and Sign card to manage your money. Slot machines have a bill acceptor that will accept your cash. Always insert your Sail & Sign card into a machine before you start playing. When you want to get your money out of a slot machine, you press a button to place funds remaining on that machine onto a virtual account that exists on your Sail and Sign account. You can either play that virtual amount on another slot machine by inserting your Sail and Sign card, or you can cash out that virtual balance at the cashier's cage. All of this is accomplished via a 4 digit pin you set up at a slot machine the first time you play, and that pin works along with your S&S card for the remainder of your cruise. It's really easy if you follow the instructions at the slot machine. So in other words, the slot machines will accept your cash, but to cash out you place the machine balance on your S&S card and then can either play that at another machine by inserting your card, or you can cash it out by presenting your S&S card at the cashier cage. All of this requires the 4 digit pin you set up at the first slot machine you played on your cruise.

And I strongly advise you get a lanyard (free in the casino) even if you only use it while in the casino. That way, when you get up, you remember to take your card. I can't tell you how many times we've sat down to a machine and found someone else's card still in the machine.

Does Carnival charge for down loading cash from your sign and sail card? I know the charge a fee at the table, but how about on the machines.

No, but if you charge to your card on the machines, you need to spin a few times or they will lock your card.
