hello there. I have read that the Horizon has a larger Pig and Anchor then on the Vista. On the Vista is was outdoors and always lined up. Does anyone know if we can visit the new larger and partially indoor Pig and Anchor on the Horizon and eat there on lunch sea days and more importantly diner every night for free? Or does it have an extra charge for diner time eating? Thanks.

Lunch is free, dinner has a charge - the prices are on a chalkboard at the entrance.

There were long queues everyday at midday on the transatlantic sailing but it you went after 1pm it was fine. They had two serving lines, one from a door in the Pig and Anchor and another that came from the door on to the deck from Ocean Plaza. This line always had less people and got served quicker.

Lunch is free only on sea days? How about embarking day?
Embarkation day is like a port day, so my educated guess says no.

"Free at lunch, charge at dinner" seems quite common with a lot of Carnival dining venues (Cucina del Capitano, for example) on Dream class ships and newer. For Pig and Anchor, what does dinner have that lunch doesn't have?

By any chance do you know if the homemade lemonade at the Pig and Anchor which seems a little expensive at 5.95 is included in Cheers?

The menu link is showing prices, are you saying those prices would be N/C if ordered for lunch but a cost for dinner? Seems odd that it would be completely free during the afternoon (but sounds great if it is). Or is a lunch menu more limited?

Lunch is not ordered in the restaurant. Pig and Anchor has a free buffet set up outside the restaurant from noon to 2:30. It doesn’t have everything on the buffet that is on the menu. The buffet has Brisket, pulled pork, chicken, sausage with baked beans, Mac & cheese and coleslaw and potato salad. We did take our plate back in the restaurant and sat at a table. They also have tables outside to sit at. During the evening you order off the menu with a much larger selection.

This sounds exactly like Pig and Anchor's predecessors: Oceanside BBQ on Dream and Magic, and Fat Jimmy's Seaside BBQ on Breeze and Spirit. They were open only on sea days, for two hours during lunchtime. They were very popular, from what I read. Today, they've all been converted into Pig and Anchor; newer ships had Pig and Anchor from the get-go. (Fat Jimmy's Seaside BBQ on Spirit was never converted.)

The difference is that on the Horizon the lunch buffet is also available on embarkation day plus the various seats days and there is a much larger menu available for dinner with a la carte pricing and there is also a Brewhouse and bar which none of the other ships have and the bar has some unique alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages not found on any other ship in the fleet.
