Couple of questions re the Constellation

Hi, we are off on the Constellation in August, our first time on an M class ship.

We have one of the large Concierge Class Aft cabins. The balcony looks huge and we are thinking that one night after a busy day we might like to just relax, enjoy the balcony and have our meal there. Is it still possible to order a meal from the restaurant's main menu or would we have to stick to the cabin service menu?

We've also read somewhere that the ship also had one of the new Edge type cabins with the infinity balcony. Are we able to visit that to take a look as we are booked on Edge in one of these cabins next year and are really curious to see what it is like.

Thanks

You can order off the MDR menu for lunch or dinner in all cabins on Celebrity ships fleet wide.

Lol, people are actually staying in the stateroom! For example we have it booked July 21st for a week!

Just thought that this would 'defeat the objective' as they wanted people to see what it was like

Oh well --- will just have to enjoy our aft balcony and look forward to the next one ;)

You can order off the MDR menu but they bring everything at once. So, the mains might get a bit cold. We did it one time and enjoyed it. We had to go the the MDR to see the menu but I hear your steward can bring you one.

The only bad part is our steward had to bring it, like they don't do enough..... And yes, we tipped accordingly.

The aft balcony cabins are huge. One can either sit out in the sun or sit back in the shade with almost total privacy. We were in one on Deck 8 a couple of years ago and a memory that will last forever is sitting on the balcony on a dead calm day looking at the ships wake disaapearing into the horizon. Absolutely fantastic

I’m currently on the Connie and have heard no mention of a sample Edge cabin.

When we were on the Connie a few months ago both butlers we had knew of the cabin but they had not seen it. One told us it was done so they could test the infinite balcony, watertight, noise, ease of moving doors to close off balcony, etc.

We are sailing on her August 30 from Venice. We haven't been on M Class ship in 13 years.

That's the cruise after ours - don't worry we will look after her for you ;-)

We've never been on an M class ship so are hoping that we will like her.

Thanks to everyone else for the replies to our questions.

I have to say that I find it odd that some crew don't know of the cabin when it is on the ship and is on the Celebrity website. I would have expected Celebrity to want to 'sell' the Edge cabins to others on another Celebrity ship.

Slightly worried that they may be testing out the cabin to 'see if it works'. Edge is going to have major issues now if it doesn't :')
