DH and I were just discussing the best meal we ever had...on land or sea. We both agreed that the off menu Chateaubriand in Murano on Century beat EVERYTHING. Just bought some Wagyu steaks that were out of this world, but they still didn't come close the the most phenomenal meal ever (onboard Century)...geez Chateaubriand:p. What's your best meal ever onboard Celebrity?:D

We were on the Millenium in January and for my birthday booked the Olympic Restaurant - the off menu Chateaubriand offered that evening was the best beef we have had in 35 years of dining together - way to go Celebrity!

Richard

I have to agree with you Richard..the Chateaubriand was amazing:D. Wish it was offered more frequently.

I had a delicious chateaubriand on the Infinity, 2006 at the midnight buffet. Server was carving in a little area in the very rear of the MDR. Just a few cruisers saw him. It was fantastic! I think I had some on another cruise but it was nothing like that time on the Infinity.

The Normandie, 2001, BEST food experience anywhere. The original goat cheese souffle, chateaubriand, cheese, dessert, lots of wine and THE BEST service..truly felt like we were being treated like honored guests. It was marvelous.

Ate there again on two other cruises and also at the Olympic on Millie...always excellent..but that first time at Normandie just outstanding!

Have eaten at the Normandie on Summit twice and can still recall every course. The goat cheese souffle, lobster bisque, Chateaubriand (first time), filet (second time), cheese course, chocolate mousse and the assortment of small desserts. So glad to hear that they brought back the cheese course after the passengers demanded it!

We ate at Sabatino's on Princess and it did not even come close.

I agree 100% shofer,

Sabatino's on Princess is many steps below any of Celebrity's alternative restaurants!

Enjoy!

Hey rc,

You sound just like my wife Lauren -- that would be her favorite. The cheese course is a must with her!:)

Kel

I'm not sure what they are offering in the way of the cheese course these days, but on our last M cruise a few years ago, there was a cheese trolley that had a huge selection, about a dozen to choose from, that they wheeled to the table. The pont l'eveque was seriously smelly...my husband still makes fun of my reaction!

I will always remember our very first dining experience in the Olympic back in November 2004.

It was when Michel Roux was the consulatant chef and the whole evening was just the best food, service and ambiance ever.

The goats cheese souffle was divine as was the chocolate souffle and the amazing cheese trolley.

Its still a wonderful meal in the Olympic but that first time was outstanding and remains one of our best dining experiences to date.

I loved it when the waiters would offer you their arm to escort you to the Ladies room and rush to escort you back again when you returned. I had never expereinced that before in any restaurant. I felt like royalty!

Wonderful memories:)

Had the Sea Bass on Azamara, have to say it was way up there. LOVE Tuscan! Your going to love the food in Barcelona!
