no more pins of any kind?

Just back from the Liberty.

 

Did they do away with the ship pins for everybody now?

 

They used to still give them to platinum members???

 

I have read they were giving just generic pins that said platinum on them or something of that sort??

 

Anybody have the lowdown?

 

Oh yeah i did get the comment card email yesterday.

June Splendor we received 2 each Platinum Pins and 2 each Splendor pins.

All we can add.

The only people that get pins are Platinum and they are generic and just say Platinum, no ship name. John Heald said they were going to revisit this, but so far no resolution.

 

Other pins can be bought in the gift shop but I'm still not sure if they have the name of the ship. I would rather be given one of those if they do rather than a Platinum pin.

I know someone who just got off the Imagination recently and received the ships pin... she is Platinum..

Just off Destiny...got a pin that said Destiny (the normal ones) but the card said "thanks for returning..Platinum", etc.

I got a pin last May, not that long ago, for Elation. Didnt say platinum, had the ship's name.

I would imagine that the ships that still have pins will hand them out until the supply is exhausted.

If we ( we are Platinum) did not get a pin I would ask at guest services or the cabin steward. We collect these pins to put on our hats.

I wish they still gave the pins with the ships names on them. I started to collect them, but can't anymore because we've not gotten them on last two cruises. kind of a bummer...

Yeppers...Kel is correct..in fact I saw 2 or 3 gentlemen in suits on formal night wearing the pins on their lapels.;) I'll be on the Liberty next month and will report back...

Just off Inspiration this morning. We got 2 of the funnel style ship pins with Carnival Inspiration on them. They weren't on the little cards anymore, just in the plastic wrappers. We did not receive any Platinum pins.

I have purchased Destiny and Ecstasy pins in gift shop. They didn't have one on Dream, so I bought a very nice one in a port gift shop. It didn't have the name of the ship, but it was ver pretty. I am not plat., so no freebies for me.

Last month when on Inspiration, I got one that said Inspiration on it for being Platinum.

Just off the Triumph last week, no ship name pins. Just the generic Platinum pin. Gift was the soft sided cooler.

In May on the Magic, for our Milestone cruise, we got the generic Platinum cruiser pins.

 

We got off the Inspiration on Thursday and we received Inspiration pins. Yes, they were in plastic wrap and not on the cards.

DH & I, both Platinum, each received pins on the Triumph this month. I was a little surprised, since it was only a 4 day cruise.
