The Legend Review that I never thought would be posted

We went to the area outside of the Follies Lounge and we saw Wee Jimmy sitting enjoying some sushi. We introduced ourselves and asked if we were intruding and he warmly welcomed us to sit with him. He explained to us that John had been in touch with him and asked him to speak with us to find out what he could do to help us. Brad told him a little bit of what had happened. Our concern was with David and his lack of people skills but really we were looking for why we had not gotten the items from Player’s Club. There were other issues, which I will not go into now and many will wonder what could have been so bad that we felt the need to bring John Heald into it. This is where I have to say that if you were not there experiencing what we did, then it is very difficult for anyone else to understand our frustrations. For this reason, I’m not even sure I will post this review. I will decide at a later date and hopefully, if you are reading this, then obviously I decided to post it and I will not receive too much flack from it. However, if I do, then I do but we will stand by the decisions we made, regardless of how anyone feels.

Our conversation was cut short because Wee Jimmy had to start the show. We said goodbye and met up with Jimmy & Lillian and watched the show. The show tonight, The Big Easy, was really not that good, which was surprising. The dancers were off and the singing was just ok, at best. Although, the costumes were beautiful. It was a full hour and Brad had to scoot out a few minutes early because he wanted to go to the Shore Excursion desk and purchase tickets for the TikiBeach excursion. By the time the show was over, we went straight to dinner.

I don't think you're being petty at all about this. If someone is being disrespectful to you on several occasions, absolutely something needs to be done or said. I always give someone the benefit of the doubt once, because I have bad days too. But it sounds like this guy was rude several times. You can't have that attitude and be in customer service.

Can't wait for the rest!

The food tonight at dinner was horrible. I don’t know how to describe it any other way. The selections were just not good. Now, this is, of course, just our opinion. Brad & I both had the broccoli soup and chateaubriand. The soup was just ok and the meat was tough and chewy. We probably should have done the Steakhouse this night instead.

Note – The link on CC that has the PDF’s of all the new menus are not necessarily in the daily order they are served. For instance, this night was the 5th night of the cruise but the menu that we had was listed as the 6th night in the link.

Many people have welcomed the changes in the menu. We do not like the changes. Comfort food? Gourmet hamburger, meatloaf, fried chicken – we just do not feel that it should be offered in the MDR on the dinner menu. Put it on the Lunch menu and we have no problem with that. But, honestly, it doesn’t really matter what we think, because it is what it is and we know we don’t have to order it so enough about the crappy food.

After dinner, we went to the Casino. Brad went to the BJ table and I just sat in the lounge and listened to the music for a while. I suddenly started feeling bad again, like I was going to have a panic attack. Brad left the table and walked me all around on the outside decks so I could get some wind in my face. I felt a little better so I walked Brad back down to the casino and insisted that he stay and play for awhile. I went up to the room around 11:30pm and got into bed. Brad came up shortly after and we both watched TV for a bit before turning in for the night.

Note - Brad & I never do anything apart from each other (except go to work of course) so for me to leave him in the casino, I can tell you, I was not feeling well at all. :(

Sorry, going out for Happy Hour with Brad. Lots more to come tomorrow. I really enjoy writing reviews, but this one was very hard to actually post. I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I would receive. I shouldn't really care what others think, but I do.:o

I am really enjoying your review, but can I ask you to hurry it along some. I leave tomorrow at 10:30 for my next cruises and I'm hoping you will be finished by then......if not I'm sure there is no way I can find it when I return on the 14th.

Day 6 – Grand Cayman

We woke up around 8am and went to the Lido Deck for breakfast. When we finished we went back to our room to get our things ready for our beach excursion. We were supposed to meet on the pier at 11:30am. At 11:45am, we were led to a van and asked to board. The van was air conditioned, however, they really pack you in pretty tight and with my anxiety really act up on this trip, I was not at all comfortable. The ride over should have taken no more than 10 minutes but our driver decided to stop every two feet and give us a 5 minute history lesson. Sorry, I probably would have enjoyed it if 1) it was our first time here and 2) I was feeling better.

Waiting in the Lounge for our number to be called for a tender.

I think what you did by emailing John was fine. !!!

The only issue I can see with the OP emailing John was that she had to in the first place.....

If things on CCL are bad, you shouldn't HAVE to email the Great JH. You should be able to voice a concern with someone who will fix it, right there ON the ship.

CCL just is extremely lacking in this area.

Good review. Since you are sensitive, I will be careful how I put it.

I'm sorry you had casino issues but it's a small part of the cruise even if you love gambling.

Looking forward to the rest of the review. You've got me hooked.

The casino complaint is a small part of the cruise, but there were a lot of negatives in there that had nothing to do with the casino :(.....

LOL...OP, I think that all those beautiful pictures are what saved you from a hideous flaming. I appreciate your detail and the time you took to put this together. :)

Thank you. I wasn't really sure if that person was kidding or serious so I wasn't sure how to answer.

We finally arrived at TikiBeach and were told that our shuttle to go back would leave at 2pm. So we made our way to the water and found a couple of chairs. The beach was nice (but nothing compares, in our eyes, to Roatan) and the water was warm. We stayed on the beach, getting in and out of the water several times to cool off, for about an hour and then went and sat at the bar. They also had free WiFi so of course we checked our mail.

We were given two free drink coupons but I did not want to drink (alcohol) so I just ordered some fruit punch and Brad got a rum punch. He also asked to sample the local beer. Apparently the bartender was having some issue with his boss and gave Brad a full size beer and said it was no charge (he mumbled something like “take that so and so…it was pretty funny). We were getting pretty hungry so I ordered calamari and Brad order some chicken tenders. OMG!!!! I am not really into calamari, but just had a craving and I am so glad I ordered it because it was OUTSTANDING!! Brad said his chicken and fries were very good too.

A little while later a girl that worked there came up to us and said we needed to finish up as the van was about to leave. We paid and got on the van and headed back to town. We later found out that the van we really should have taken didn’t leave until 3pm so we lost an hour of our excursion. We weren’t too happy about that, but it did give us some time to go in to town to do some shopping.

This guy is looking at Brad kind of strange....Maybe he's a Yankee

hater

Actually, I think the OP is just a narcissistic idiot. Nothing she's bitched about so far equals a flea on a rat's butt. Yeah, nice pics, but since the whole review is on the computer at work (and she's AT work), why doesn't she just upload it.

Some of us have better things to do.

Leaving on my 7th Legend cruise this Sunday, and I agree, the food is wishy-washy, Mahogany Bay is nice - and for the folks that think Roatan is beautiful, I guess you've never docked at Coxen Hole.

Get over yourself and post the whole review and be done with it!

WTH?? RUDE. Don't read it if you don't like it.
