The Legend Review that I never thought would be posted

After that, my brother and sister-in-law said they were going to Medusa’s Lair and we went to the casino. Hubby & I like to play 3 card poker and noticed that there was only 1 table in the casino. There used to be two 3 card poker tables. We asked why they took one table away and we were told that 3 card poker is not a money maker for the casino (in other words, the odds are better with the player). WOW! How is that for you?

 

Brad played some slots but mostly played blackjack and I played slots until around 12:30 and headed up to bed.

For all of you who have commented on the toes, thank you. I, too, saw them and knew right away that I would do that on our next cruise. I had more comments from passengers and crew during the cruise. It was so much fun.

Can't wait to hear more - especially re: casino problems. I don't think a host on one ship can "promise" a free drink card will be waiting on another ship. They have nothing to do with that. That is totally thru the Carnival Player's Club, and you have to have waaay more than 1500 points on a previous cruise, or a ton of table play to get one automatically on your next. (though it sounds like you do spend a lot of time in the casino each cruise!:D) BTW - I also love your toes!:)

You are correct in saying you need 1500 points for the drinks on us program. Brad had accumulated close to 6000 on the 4 day cruise that he was told that by the Host. The Host does have the ability to tell a guest that they prequalify as they have access to the points. You have to remember though, the casino is Player's Club.

You'll understand more when I explain what happened when we got home;)

I can understand where you may have run into problems with the casino while on board. They don't like contacting the main Player's Club office while on a cruise. I always print out my e-mails from CPC to bring to show the casino, "just in case" there is a problem. Can't wait to read more of your review. (btw - I am a CPC VIP, so I understand what can go right and wrong in the casino, and I sympathize already!:))

I was on the Legend in September as well and we went under the bridge around 6-6:15.... there will be an announcement when close though. :)

We went under the bridge on 9/18 around 615pm.

Were you in room 7174? If so, was there an upper bunk over the couch? I didn't see an upper bunk in the pictures your posted and was a little concerned (we have the same room booked for Nov. 6th).

Same here...can't wait to "show them off" on our Freedom cruise in Jan...BTW..great review...we love the Legend and the port of Tampa...so easy to navigate.
