We are going on the Celebrity Summitt this Saturday and my mother says after looking at that brunch they are going to have to roll her off the ship :D

Thanks for taking the time out. Oh yes can you clarify if the Brunch is on a sea day and which part of NY are you from . We are from Long Island.

Thanks again.

The Brunch Buffet looks fantastic!! What day is .... I don't want to miss that!!!

Great picture of the Summit!

Can you show some of the "main" dining room at dinner? When is your dinner? Looking for ideas on the dinner situation ... we are usually late seating.

The buffet is in the main dinng room, just so you know. It would be on a sea day. Last year when we did Bermuda it was on our last sea day. Honestly, we were tired and full at that point :)

I just noticed he is appearing on the Summit thru 4/28. I have 2 of his CDs and hoping to pick up his first one when in Bermuda May 27 sailing on the Summit. I'm disappointed that he will be off the ship when we board. I find his music so relaxing and just love the steel pan. Enjoy him.

Thank you for the live updates!

We are leaving this Saturday on the Summit. Looks like I'll be getting up early every morning to hit the gym if I want to survive eating all that food!

I'm sure I'll see you there. I typically work out or run at night, I'm just afraid I'll get distracted by a show/casino/extra desert if I don't jump up and do it right away. Yes I am following that board as well. I wanted to do the volcano tour you're doing, but due to a sprained then re-sprained ankle I think I should skip it.

Thanks for posting! We hope to be on Summit over Thanksgiving!

Tell us what you have enjoyed the most so far!

We were on the Summit this past thanksgiving, and loved it.

Wonderful brunch on Thanksgiving and then you could get a traditional turkey dinner at dinner, although I'm the only one in our family who actually did!

Escargot

Still no escargot on the menu :(

I asked DH about our sailing, and he said he had to ask for it, but they brought it out several nights with no fuss at all. He loved it.

Thanks for your awesome review- it's bringing our trip right back....

can't wait for more.....

Thank you sooo much for posting all these pictures and reviews everyday!!! I am going on this ship leaving Saturday and all of your tips and advice have been so helpful! I am glad they let you bring water on the ship as that was a main worry for me! Those chocolate fountains look amazing! Thanks again!!

cketz1,

Our family will be there on Saturday as well. We have loved the reviews and pictures as well. See you soon.

APRIL 16 - BARBADOS

  • Getting off the ship was quick, there was a very short line through the "ding" machine.

    .
  • When you are getting a taxi by the taxi stand at the cruise terminal in Barbados, ask the people with the orange vest for assistance. The problem is that they put you in a van and they fill it (15 passengers) before the van leaves. We got in the van around 9:05am with 4 people already waiting. The van left at around 9:16am. Cost to Hilton Barbados was $5 per person. We took a car taxi from Hilton to cruise terminal and cost us $15.
    .
  • Got a day pass to Hilton Barbados via Island Marketing for $55 including lunch at Hilton's poolside grill ($40 with no lunch). If you're planning to stay at Hilton for lunch, I suggest getting the pass with lunch, it's cheaper. Got the internet for $15, but signal sucked by the pool.
    IMG_3657.jpg
    .
  • The beach at Hilton was beautiful, with about 3 coves you can choose from.
    IMG_3701.jpg
    .
  • DH dove with Barbados Blue right by Hilton and operation was good. However, they charged us $5 more than the special we supposedly had. But they fed my husband twice, so it's all good! There was a little shack by Carlyle Bay just outside Hilton where the divemasters took my DH for lunch and DH loved the food there. The dive itself wasn't the great, visibility was bad.

    .
  • We like getting our passport stamped and doing the legwork. Sometimes you can leave your passport at Guest Services and they can have it stamped for you, but it's not guaranteed. We got ours stamped right at the cruise terminal as soon as you enter coming from the ship.
    .
  • Just noticed that the "refrigerator" in the room is more of a cooler. And the drawer right above the "refrigerator" gets hot so be careful on what you put in there.
    IMG_2857.jpg
    .
  • We have select dining and didn't make a reservation for today. We walked in at 6:29pm, had about 4 parties before us. We got seated at a table for 2 right away.

Buffet Brunch

It is only one day. We had on our first and only sea day (4/15).

Hilton Barbados Day Pass

Got a day pass to Hilton Barbados via Island Marketing for $55 including lunch at Hilton's poolside grill ($40 with no lunch). If you're planning to stay at Hilton for lunch, I suggest getting the pass with lunch, it's cheaper. The day was relaxing by the pool and taking photos and going online (I purchased their day wi-fi access.

Mimosa station at Buffet Brunch

Sorry, it is not free.

Dining Room (Cosmopolitan Restaurant)

I only have this photo of the dining room. I'll post more if I get to take more photos. We had select dining. We made reservations for both formal nights and just walked in the past 2 days. We didn't wait at all for a table for 2.

Thank you Wendy for the tip! I'll try to order it tomorrow night.
