Pecheur ordered! Along with some nice reds for my son in law...prosecco also on offer but I'd rather have champagne...;)

I'm now trying to persuade my daughter to start shopping with them!

S:)

A couple of times a year Bredon is on a good offer. 50% off I think, so around £15 per bottle. It is really close to Deutz which is wifeys favourite even preferable to LPGS. All champagne is personal taste, but to me this one is really special.

Enjoy your visit to the kids. Lead them astray. It's your sworn duty.

:)

Good Morning,

The lovely Maurice dropped my Ocado this morning...perfect as usual!

One sub with the wine which looks better than I'd actually ordered!

Been trying to get the laundry done in between an hour of business calls with my insurers....both of whom appear to be very keen this year so business must be tight!

Noodles for lunch with some sweet and sour chicken.

Sophia:)

Maurice?! Comme ci, comme ça :D

Glad you are getting tinto the Ocado spirit. Nothing in the whole wide world is better than Pecheur. Just more expensive! Are you trying the baguettes I keep nagging you about?

I have just ordered 12 cases of Paulaner from Majestic and they promise a May 2015 date .... so it should be perfect this time next year. Today if Bratty and Franky and Fritz!

Maurice tells me to call him Mozz I'll have you know!! he tells me today that new warehouses are now open in Sheffield and Liverpool so the network expands!

No baguettes today....despite your nagging...the lodger won't eat them and I'm trying to slim down a bit before this cruise, so cut out the bread for starters!

I am however enjoying a cheeky glass of the old Pech right now which will no doubt place me into slumber mode this afternoon....:D

I take it you're on a hot dog day with all the fritzes....pics please....

I have just been told by the CEO that I am only allowed to open the Bratties for lunch and I must keep the Franks for a non-specified supper.

I think Bratties are very photogenic in a Hapsberg pet Bratty sort of way and I will take a piccy. There will also be some pickled cucumber invloved as well. Dill.

Same procedure as usual Ms Sophie!

Very neat pile of onion Jeff

At sea on the Seabourn Legend on our way to St Petersburg.

All good on board service and food as it should be.

I understand that they have a very old established group of 170 drink-loving armed bodygaurds booked in to join you at St Petersburg. Should be fun ... they enjoy a bit of a friendly shoot out in the evenings around the pool!

You won't get this delivered on SB!

Have you got Captain Dag on board, Mr.L? When we first met him, some 20 years ago he was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen - but, like all of us, getting a bit older now.

Pleased that you have a nice crowd, no kids, and good food and service. And - no big group of horrendous freebies.

Food all looking good Jeff! Just demolished a leerdammer and onion sandwich here.

Usual crap Saturday night television....so am reading up about my forthcoming trip.

S :)

Lovely .... have you tried maasdam cheese? In fact that was what I meant when I may have mentioned Leerdamer. Massdam is a sort of midway between edam and Ementhal and gruyere. Really nice. Very nice very thin.

I be you're looking forward to the trip.

Haven't tried maasdam but will do! I'm currently using those warburtons sandwich thins for sandwiches....less bread!!

The trip is creeping up and I am looking forward to it particularly Bermuda after 43 years!!

This is sad, but I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip, You're going to have to practise your piccies!

If you have one of those edam/gouda type cheese slices this cheese is nice thin. Kf you are being careful they are great with matzos.

Maybe I should stay off of the Silversea board -- your food pictures create too much drooling! There is nothing in the U.S. like the sausages on that plate. Do you know if the pub in Heathrow is any good? We'll be there for five hours in October. May eat there even if it isn't good -- just need a taste of some British "bangers".

Same here with the drooling! Not sure of the Heathrow pubs, I think T1 has the Harlequin pub who serve the said dish but I've never been in there.

Jeff will probably know!

Hi TC!

Thanks so much for the comment. Sadly it spurs me on to post more food piccies.

Sorry, I missed your question!

I don't know of anyone that sells Bratties at LHR, but why not have some sent to you? I get the impression there are a few specialist German dellis that will send you stuff overnight in the US. Cook them slow and low in an airfryer. We love Bratties. Frankfurters can be variable, but we get some great ones delivered.

I think one of our greatest improvements in the UK over the last decade is how much better our sausages have become. Butchers started the improvement with entering competitions with their bangers. Supermarkets and pork producers followed, I use to make sausages at home but now it is totally unecessary as the range and quality is wonderful. I even cook some specially for the freezer so I can take out a couple at a time to reheat for a nice sossy sandwich at a few minutes notice. They freeze and reheat well.

If you get a chance to get out whilst you're here pop into a Waitrose and buy their Premium Cumberlands, some of their red onion sausages and a brand called Black Farmer which is my wife's favourite and smuglle them home. In the old days of corporate life and the regular use of one of the company Falcons, it was a regular joke that I use to build European business trips around my favourite Italian dellis so i could bring back whole hams and put them into the plane's fridge ... totally untrue of course ......;)

I had a dinner with Captain Andrew Pedder last night,he gets off on the 27th August and Captain Dag takes over.

The food is excellent, many familiar faces.

Black Watch and QM2 are in St Petersburg but we are at the better berth at English Embankment.

Lovely weather 26 degrees

You know you are chatting to the same person about the same topic at the same time on two completely different threads on two completely different forums at the same time, don't you dad? Just sayin' in case you didn't realise.

And whose minding the switch whilst you've gone gallivanting?

:D
