Well that’s it for Carnival Liberty; we loved the ship and the 2.0 upgrades.

Next: Carnival Breeze

Mike, great review. Thanks for sharing. You do a great job in all your reviews.

I feel like I was there with you and part of your family after reading your reviews.

Did you get a video of your daughter singing?

Please also thank you family for sharing their lives with us here :)

We are going on the breeze 5/24/14, and are already looking very forward to it. I'm sure your review will be the icing on the cake

Thanks- Jim aka Homer714 :)

Thanks Mike for the great reviews! We are booked b2b on the Breeze in February and I have really been looking forward to your Breeze review. I am hooked on your reviews so have been switching between this one and your b2b2b2b review in 2010. Keep it coming - you're doing great! :)

Great reveiw my fellow Canuck. It brings back memories of the Liberty she was our first ship as we took our first cruise (Exotic Eastern) on her last year. Will be going on the Conquest in January for the Western so It was nice to see the ports we will be going to. Thanks again to you and your family for the review

I have enjoyed your review and can't wait to hear about the Breeze I do want to go on that ship. Is the Liberty a sister of the Freedom? I have been on the Freedom and just wondered if they were the same ships.

Thanks

Thank you, yes they are sister ships. We were on Freedom in 2010.

Thanks hockeyguru32. Conquest is the only ship in it's class that we haven't sailed on yet and I hope we can fix that in the near future.:D

Hey cool! We were in port the same day. My wife and I were onboard Magic. Wish I would have known so I could meet the famous CC review writer Mike and his family. ;):D

Edit: Also, as is always the case, I'm really enjoying the review. Thanks!

What kind of sandwich is that? It looks good! And where'd you get those chips? I thought chips weren't available on the Lido deck, only via room service.

Thank you Jenny. I thought it was Carnival Dream that was going to New Orleans next year?

Yes, the Dream is going to be out of New Orleans as me and DH are already booked for an October 2014 cruise.

Loving your review!

Aug 31st, 2013: Breeze Embarkation

There was no rush to get off Liberty; I figured the earliest we wanted to disembark and walk over to the next terminal is 10 am.

They look like a swarm of busy bees.

Not very cheerful early in the morning.

Our last breakfast

We disembarked with our luggage just after 10 am. With our Platinum status we did receive tags the night before that allowed us to disembark early, but like I said we didn’t need them.

Customs was busy, it took about 30 minutes.

DSC_01302_zps6e64d76f.jpg

Once outside we walked over to the terminal on our left and the porter put ‘faster to the fun tags’ on the luggage and again we breezed through security with the designated line for Platinum/Diamond. I still had one cooler full of flavored water, diet coke and 2 bottles of wine.

This time security checked all the water bottles, by shaking each one of them. It only took 30 seconds and we were on our way to the VIP lounge.

When we first got there we were directed to the lounge. Within 5 minutes, they called our name to the desk. We obtained our Sail & Sign cards and immediately boarded the ship.
