Maybe the reason for such toots: Port Canaveral may have been a Maiden Port Call for the Eurodam. St. Johns, Newfoundland this September was such a call for her. Captain DeVries said that the Port Authorities asked him for a significant departure signal when we said from that port, which he supplied. Same thing may have happened here at Port Canaveral.

Great picture. Managed to spy both Chief and DWChief waving even on my iPhone. 'Course I looked for my DTS aka DWChief and spotted the hat and legs.

Webcam is at a restaurant at the west end of the port; Eurodam tooted at the east end before entering the ocean. HAL ships may not know where the webcam is. Usually the Disney ships play "When you wish upon a star" and other Disney songs but sometimes the camera doesn't pick up the ship's songs because they have a loud country band playing for their customers.
