I want to be one of the first allowed on the ship in Fort Lauderdale

We are going on the Oasis ship in January 2014 - What time do we need to get to the port to ensure we are one of the first allowed on the ship?

Also is there anything we need to do ahead of time to get through quickly?

There are many things we need to do when on board - get Nellie's beach cabana's, sign up kids for Barbie program, and get some Royal Caribbean phones.

We are unable to sign up on-line any longer for these. :eek:All of these things are first come first serve, so if we get on too late - we might be out of luck...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Also, we will be arriving 2 days before our cruise leaves.

Well just so you know.

B2B are escorted thru first as the doors open.

Then Suites and above.

This past July we were first out the "gate" in the suite section after the B2B, (there were about 40 of them).

The had about 5 RCI checker points where you heard the infamous "ting", we ended up being in the top 20 in our suite group.

So we were about 60th. on board.

After us came the Diamonds.

Are you in a suite?

As another posted, be at the ship before 10:30. Have you sea pass documents completed filled out (make sure you use the same credit card), have that document, your credit card and passport in hand to give to the agent who checks you in. I also print out the CLIA and have everyone fill theirs out before getting to the counter. (see attached)

Make as many reservations as you can online as well as sign the waivers before here on line. As soon as you board, get the weekly list of shows.. At 11 you can go to studio B to make any changes to your shows.

Hope this helps

P.S. yes, yes, suites will go first then C&A members, but Oasis terminal moves very quickly once they start boarding.

Unless you're having a wedding onboard, staying in a suite, or are Platinum or above in C&A, you're pretty much SOL on getting on first. All of those groups who are in the terminal when boarding begins will board before general boarding starts.

My friend and I were the first people on Liberty last week. We got there about 10:30 a.m. and there was already a long line. We were in a GS and they had a different line for them. After checking in the suites and Platinum and above sit in a special area and are allowed in first. We just happened to be first in line when the ship was cleared.

Thanks for your help everyone.

No unfortunately - we are not in a suite.

There is a big group of us all going (15) and I would like to get all this settled - so I don't have to worry about it.

we sail 16th dec and the barbie experience is still booking

I would suggest you party is ready to split upon board - one take the cabanas, one the barbie etc - we normally do that to make sure we get what we need

You are going to have to be there by 10am to get the first numbers and unfortunately they reserve the first numbers for the suites

Have you tried ringing to book them - you can definitely book restaurants and excursions by phone

I would get to the pier around 10AM. After "processing", you will be put in seating in order of entry, so you will be among the first. Unfortunately, there will be no way to get around the fact that your seating area will be for general boarding, and you won't be started until the areas for suites and high C&A tiers have been emptied. However, these areas will be relatively small, and I think that when you get onboard you will find not too many ahead of you for the various sign-ups.

Oasis/Allure boarding differs from that of the other RCI ships...or so we have experienced.

We were among the first on board on our recent Allure cruise, but after the returning back-to-back guests. It pays in that respect even to book a junior suite, if you're so inclined. It's apparently one of the few suite perks that applies to junior suites. And for the record, it was a lovely stateroom, on the hump, with a great balcony, two loungers, and a table and two chairs.

We were in a suite on Allure in March, and were almost 1st on the ship.

Had to wait for a Noro cleaning so nobody got onboard until 12:15 - we just happened to have come up to the suite level waitiing at the right time - a rc rep there told me just stay where you are - no waiting seats available anyway, so we stood for around 15 min, and were right in place as the doors opened!!! a littleshoving behind us - and some litterly ran up the ramp - we just walked to the side in a single line and let them go - not that urgent to be "FIRST". Kinda surprised at the pushing!!

When I was on the allure in sept in a junior suite, I arrived at the port by 10:30, then was escorted to a suite waiting area, and we got right on the ship at 11. We weren't the first, but it went pretty fat. Plus, they don't let you in your rooms until noon at the earliest, and we only got into our room that early I think because we were in a suite. And the ship is large, so even if you aren't first on the ship, it's fairly easy to find a place to sit comfortably while waiting to get to your room

I wish I was going on your ship, this class is amazing
