Emerald Deck Mini-Suites on Caribbean Princess

Are the aft mini suites on the Carib covered. Read somewhere that they were. Know that the ones on the Dolphin deck are open to up above.

Also any feed back on aft facing balcony room E-734. Mom would be in that one and its says partially obstructed balcony due to support beam. We'd be around corner in E-726.

Yes, Emerald minis are covered. Can't tell you about obstruction, but friend had one and she said it's not anything to be concerned about

Good video on these minis on youtube. Strongly suggest you view. Hint: directly above Club Fusion with some rather powerful speakers. The video does address the coverage.

Thanks for posting. We have E731 on the Emerald in April. We'll be on the other side of the ship, not over the Club Fusion stage, so I'm not concerned about the noise. The balcony looks Great!! Does anyone know if there are still two chaise lounges on those balconies?

E734 shouldn't be too bad when it comes to hearing music from below. The speakers are over the stage, which is in the corner. The cabins most likely to hear a bass sound are E730 and 732. The speakers project out, not to the side. Even if you did hear the bass, it would be only with certain music and end by 11pm.

We just disembarked from CB this morning. DH and I were in E734 and DS and family were in E726. We all enjoyed our cabins. The "obstruction" on E734 was minimal and we would definitely not hesitate to book either in the future.

We were in E731 on the Emerald in October, 2012 and we had two lounges, two chairs and a table. It was a great balcony. We have booked the same cabin for the Diamond for later on next year.

On the 11.23.13 sailing, E734 on CB had two reclining chairs (not loungers) and one table. E726 had the same, plus two foot stools. Heard a bit of bass in both cabins, but, it really was not enough to keep us awake. As mentioned earlier, both have covered balconies. E734 has a deeper balcony. We loved the location. Straight up to Horizon and two levels down to our traditional dining in the Palm Dining Room. And, easy access to the Piazza, via the Promenade deck.

Thanks Jennie, good to hear. I don't know if you remember us (Michael and Anthony) but we sailed with you on that 2012 Canada/New England Emerald cruise. Happy Holidays!! :)

Hi Michael and Anthony,

Good to hear from you. We loved the larger balcony on the New England cruise though the weather wasn't really warm enough to enjoy it fully. Hopefully when we are in Japan in early October on the Diamond, we will get to use it more. You will love it as it gives you a great view of all the way down the ship and then aft to the right.

Happy holidays to both of you. We have just put up our tree today - being the 1st - we are a day ahead of you.

Did our last B2B on the Crown princess in 2012 in E730. The bass from club fusion never bothered us, you could barely here it, only when you where in bed.

Loved it so much, we are doing a B2B in E730 on the Crown January 2014

The balcony is one of best!

We'll be in E720 over New Year's. Sure hope the bass doesn't make the balcony wave like it did in that YouTube video!

Hi azbirdmom, how was E720?

Did you experience any noise? We are about to book and and this is the last mini-suite on the covered Emerald deck.

We have stayed in the bulk of them, no noise that we ever heard.

They are the best mini's. ;)

any comments on the window suites, the minis without balcony, the price for these are the same as regular balconys, any pro and cons appreciated

Since the thread is about Emerald deck mini's on the CB it would be best to do a quick "window suite" search (upper right search box on the Princess main page). There are lots of threads on window suites with tons of info. ;)

We've stayed in this cabin a couple of time. The noise from Club Fusion was so minor that if the TV is on you will not notice it at all.

I know the noise from Club Fusion is talked about a lot here, but this room with the covered and extended balcony is so great, that is a really minor problem. I'd take this cabin over any of the totally exposed and unprotected Dolphin deck cabins.
