Passengers are in a cab now on their way to the port.

I wonder what the procedure is here. Certainly they were not standing half an hour at the carousel waiting for their bags to arrive. Do they go to the ship as they are and get HAL's help in shipping the bags to Costa Rica?

It has taken me two years to do all the planning. I use a TA but I am her first World Voyage client.

 

After all the planning and doing the cruise did you do it right? :rolleyes:

I hope that most of their luggage is already on the ship. I can't imagine what it would be like starting a cruise under these circumstances - let alone a world cruise!!!

Hope the taxi does not get a puncture or mechanical problems en-route!

I would guess they will skip the terminal completely and go through the ship's metal detectors at the gangway. Possibly the cab will even go straight to the gangway.

You're right. I remember on the roll call talk of shipping luggage to the ship, included in the deal for many pax.

I think so. I have a few things to throw in my carryon but the big bags are packed. I am hoping that I have planned for all contingencies on the homefront.

I guess I was referring to all the passengers, not just the late-comers. Would they have had their muster drill shortly before departure time?

A couple of double posts - I think we were all trying to post at the same time. I am actually rooting for these 2 passengers. (Not sure whose fault it is - hopefully lesson learned and better planning in the future)
