Diamond offer now to some Plats and Golds

DH and I both have the offer. The eight day Eastern on the Splendor from NY really had us interested. Even booking a balcony would have only been 645.00 for both and getting a 200.00 on board credit would have been really nice. We figured if we had to we could drive to NY, but the cruise ends in San Juan. .

SW and JetBlue have reasonable air to/from San Juan. Tack on a few post-cruise days in San Juan (old city or Condado) and you have a very nice vacation!

That sailing must not have sold like our San Juan - Miami, because the prices for that have gone up considerably.

If I weren't already on the 11/1 sailing (and if I'd actually received the offer), I'd really consider that one. I love San Juan!

We finally got an offer! Now to talk to my manager to see if I can work around not having the vacation days with working OT the other weeks :). I'm shooting for the 8 day Splendor for $458 for both of us with $200 OBC. Fingers crossed!

JW... No spinning wheels necessary... Click onto My Offers and it would be right there...

It's $100 for an interior BUT you can pay $120 for an oceanview or $140 for a balcony... With a $100 OBC... thats almost free....

Well that's fine and dandy, but justify $374/pp (2 people) RT, for 4 days. No way! We aren't willing to take a B2B for even more $$$$. Check out flights/hotel/transportation. It's never for free. Add in the tips, blah, blah. Not a good deal for us. You people living there probably, but not for us west coasters.

Is code OPV a casino offer?
I doubt it since I haven't gambled on a Carnival ship in a long time. Also, my on board charging is limited to the automatic gratuities. I never received the free cruise offer in the past which I think had a more of a selection. Still, I managed to book the Ecstasy since I'll be in Florida (on the Breeze first) so I only had to change my flight home which I was going to do anyway so I could spend more time with my family in Florida. I also booked the Splendor cruise to SJU. I live in NYC so I only have to fly one way and the airfares aren't too bad (about $25. less than a r/t to FLL).

DH received the offer and definitely not a casino offer since he does not even go in the casino.

He didn't receive an email but i check the VIFP offers every day and there it was yesterday morning.

Unfortunately, air is way too expensive for the NY one and to drive or fly to FL for a 3 or 4 night cruise is crazy.

But hey, glad one of us finally got a free offer.:D

Even this morning, the wheel is spinning indicating that the cruises are loading, but it never loads. I can only assume that the deal is sold out. John

We got it as the Diamond offer but really can't do another cruise this year.

I'm guessing not many Diamonds took advantage of the offer so they extended it to select Golds and Platinums.

Does this mean that those who are Gold or Platinums get a REAL Diamond Sail & Sign card?

Not necessarily. Ours never did load. You can log in then do a mock booking for the Victory, Ecstasy or Splendor for the dates stated earlier. It would show up if it was offered to you when you go through the process. Also, you would notice the Splendor out of NY for $100 pp.

I got the offer, and for that price I would happily go with an inside (only had balconies on a cruise:)). However, the timing just doesn't work for us, since DH teaches college.:(

yup we got it too and the timing doesn't work...darn it!!
