Good point. It does say limited spaces so maybe they are selling like 10 or 20 per cruise.

Well, that would surely eliminate overcrowding at Cagneys on the ships that include that option. I doubt they would all arrive at the same time for breakfast.

That said, when we were eating breakfast in Cagney's on our last cruise, there were plenty of open tables every morning and it wouldn't have been overcrowded at all with that amount of extra diners.

Suite guests PAY for the larger cabin and balcony, and we also pay for the perks with a much larger cruise fare. So telling suite guests there are other perks to enjoy just doesn't cut it.

You start opening up Cagney's for breakfast and lunch they will lose us. We enjoy the relaxed meals and it is one of the main reasons we book a suite.

Agreed; however, what was posted does not offer Cagney's. It offers room service. I can't imagine them offering a "buy in" for Cagney's, but I guess we will see. Someone will post a photo, I am sure.

Considering the large number of different answers to a very simple question posed by the OP, it is amazing that people on this very forum frequently berate NCL employees for not all giving the exact same answer to questions put to them.

I have just e-mailed the hotel director of the Gem and will let you know when I get the answer just to stop the fighting!

Please get back to us. We will boarding the Gem Saturday and have some suite and some non suite guest. This would be great if the non suites could purchase this if it includes breakfast and lunch at Cagney's. We would only have one sea day so that would eliminate the opportunity to use it for lunch very often but would definitely consider it.

On another web site that caters to NCL cruisers there are several recent cruisers from several ships that indicate there is a plastic card in the rooms with this package offered. It is exactly the same as the OP posted. Many of the posters over there are in mini's or balconies. They are very clear in that there is no offer of any Cagney's meals. It is as stated on the OP's post. A "special" breakfast served in your room. Again, NO Cagney's perks. They indicated that further info could be obtained from guest services on board. For the posters that indicate they have had info in their room indicating Cagney's, please post a copy of that please. No one else has indicated any info about utilizing Cagney's for this $99 package.

Another thread elsewhere recently stated that in a circumstance similar to yours, the non-suite guests were able to "buy" access for breakfast and lunch. As I recall, the per person price was similar to what is being discussed on this thread but as I understood it, the non-suite guests would have to be sponsored by a suite guest.

I'm considering trolling the boards looking for suite guests to adopt me! LOL

This is one of the reasons I left Carnival. I pay a lot of money to book

suites, because of a disability I have. I need to use the priority tendering

and have access to some things that are not overly crowded. Now before

I start getting flamed. I have always been willing to pay the extra money

without complaining. If NCL is going to open this up to anyone these benefits

do not help me any longer. I have a suite booked for Feb. if they let the masses start being able to leave the ship at the same time this will be horrible for me.

I wouldn't worry it says "limited spaces". I'm hoping that someone on the breakaway or getaway can get it all sorted out.

I agree with you. I can't imagine them doing this .... people pay a premium for suite perks. $99 is a drop in the bucket .... and quite insulting, really. Again, the only thing we have seen here is room service.

I just got off the Gem and it definitely was offering Breakfast/Lunch in Cagney's. Didn't take a pic, but this has been confirmed by multiple people on several threads.

IF this is indeed the case...I see no reason (at lease for us ) to continue to book suites. (as perks would be down to priority boarding/disembarking and butler service and while I love the perks..not sure worth the premium paid)

Did it say breakfast and lunch every day of your cruise? The original post I posted shows on the breakaway you only get room service breakfast. Nothing about lunch.

Well, I wouldn't book on a smaller ship that only offered Cagneys, if that was the case. Now if they start opening up the Haven restaurant ... well, I'll cancel my Escape cruise and head back over to Royal. Their suites are nicer anyway ;)

Wow. I don't care for this. About to sail in my 5th suite and I like the quiet laid back atmosphere of Cagney's. What's next, access to the Haven for $199?

Yes, every day. It was Cagneys, Concierge access, VIP tenders, etc. Seemed to me they would just add you to the list of suite amenities minus the butler.

Seems like a great deal. Book an inside for cheap and pay $99 to be a VIP. I would definitely do this. Does sound a little like Carnival's 'faster to the fun', only better.

Hoping you will post if you noticed any changes in the casino program.

I am going to write a manifesto on CAS past and present, but have been out of the office for 10 days and it may take me a day or two to find the time.

They did say changes were coming. But they did treat me as Golden on this cruise and that included Breakfast/Lunch in Cagney's. The Host made it sound like that was changing perhaps as soon as this week.
