I did have a pic of it after all (the wife had it).

Ah ha the wife came through. So the difference between the smaller ships and breakaway and getaway are the breakfast and lunch perks. I dont think everyone needs to get upset about it. It's probably something they are trying and will be limited.

This thread, like many others shows how important it is to give all the details. In particular, what ship it was on.

There are roughly three, heck, make it 4 groups of ships within NCL.

1 - Hawaii

2 - Older/main fleet - Jewel class, and in most situations, Spirit, Sun and Star

3 - Epic

4 - Breakaway and Getaway

Don't they sell only a limited number of spa passes and Vibe passes? I don't see the difference if they sell limited numbers of VIP passes and keep it under control.

That's what the sign says at the bottom. Limited spaces available. We just have to wait until someone is actually on a cruise and asks guest services then we will know for sure. My cruise on breakaway is not until end of November and maybe it won't even be available by then. If it is I would purchase it for sure.

So for $7 a meal you can eat in Cagney's for breakfast and lunch plus get all the other amenities thrown in.

Well, this is a great reason to stop booking suites. This is just one of those things we will have to make that mad dash to get once on board.

Then again, being in and paying for a suite and having others in Cagney's breakfast and lunch and crowding things up for priority disembarking might not sit well with me.

Hmmmm, mixed feelings here.

If I knew for sure that this would be offered on Jade next March, I'd probably cancel our SC and book two MB's and buy this package for the four of us instead.

Honestly I can't see this being a very long term solution as this would mean even less revenue from many repeat customers.

I'd like to know if this is being offered across the board, or only to the CAS people who originally had that perk for free.

Boarded the Star yesterday. No such notice in cabin. Casino host stated all my perks are good and no changes from what I'm used to. Said their will be changes

In future but additional better perks will be given. She wouldn't say when or what.

Not sure if I am reading this wrong but I do not see where it says Cagney's. It does say specialty restaurant. Do you think maybe they will open up another venue for those people who purchase the VIP plus? Many years ago they did offer an additional dining room to be open during breakfast and lunch. Anyone else remember? Anyway, they may only be selling a certain amount of packages and will be offering another venue. Anyway, that is my thought. Just can not see how they could open Cagney's to everyone. It would defeat the purpose of those who book suites to have a small intimate venue for both breakfast & lunch. It really is one of the better perks. It is one of those perks that well makes you feel special.

Not sure how I feel about this, especially the breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. True it would be great for those traveling with family where some are not in a suite.

My concern is also that they are planning to eventually move the Cagney's breakfast and lunch into Moderno which is moving into the smaller space by the Star bar.

That area is more intimate than Cagney's which means even fewer tables available.

I guess my feeling is that offerings like this diminish the perks offered for booking a suite (which guests pay a premium for) and I really think that NCL is making a mistake here, especially with regards to the Jewel class ships. Hopefully this will go away just like when they opened the Courtyard area to all suite guests on the Jade that time. Maybe they will learn from their mistakes.

And I do remember when they used to have the smaller dining room open for balcony and mini-suite guests for breakfast and lunch. That didn't last long either.

Well, we'll all just have to wait and see what happens.

VERY interested in this! The one thing we really enjoyed about the suite is breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. Please keep us informed - on the Getaway in Dec.!

I leave Saturday on the GEM, I'll let you guys know when I get back! This is my first cruise not in a suite, and I'm thinking I might try this out if it's available - I was worried how I was going to manage without my perks lol

I don't participate in CAS, so if I don't see the offer, we can assume it's only for CAS, or they've given up on it already. :D

This seems like a good program... definitely has me interested for the cruise I'm taking in 2014... We are not in a suite this time around, and this would add a bit of that flair to our cruise... and the price is not bad at all!

Judging on how lightly crowded Cagneys was at any point on our last suite cruise on the Gem last year, I am not overly concerned about VIP people imposing on suite passengers. And judging by the wording, it could be in a completely different venue as well for all we know.

Don't read to much into it. If you look at NCLs discription of Penthouse perks it also says a specialty restaurant. No where is Cagney's called out. Keep in mind on some ships it is not Cagney's. The Sun suite breakfast and lunch is in La Cucina

I guess count me among those who think the Cagneys or Haven restaurant breakfast/lunch perk should not be sold only because of availablity. Even if NCL only sold 20 of these VIP packages that is 40 people who are paying and will definately be at breakfast. Not sure how this huge influx of people would affect the dining experience for Haven guests. I know it is too early to tell. But it seems NCL is looking for more ways to increase income anyway they can even if it means diminishing the quality of suite perks for others.

How about $199 for one day Haven access.

$65 for half day Haven access

$35 for just a walk through ;)

$99 for breakfast and lunch at Cagneys and priorty tenders

$125 for butler and concierge service for the week.

$25 to dip your toes in the Haven pool

I think what made the Haven so good was how exclusive it was. Now there are so many suites and VIP access that it is not exclusive anymore

That is why the older ships are that much more attractive. The newer ships have way to many suites it takes away from the intimacy. JMO

True. Different venues for different ships. Anyway, I do hope they offer a completely different dining room for the VIP Plus program. The smaller and intimate dining is a very important part of my cruise experience.

Since I was thinking of switching to a Suite for a future cruise I looked at NCL's website today and I do not see anything about exclusive Breakfast and Lunch at Cagney's. I see this under Suites on NCL's site. I do not see anything about Cagney's am I missing something, please let me know if I am just not seeing it?

I only see it under the Haven.
