Garavar Posted January 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Trying to figure out the Royal Caribbean to Celebrity Loyalty Recognition. However after a search I have only seemed to discover that the following applies: - If you are Platinum or Emerald on Royal Caribbean, you are Select on Celebrity. - If you are Diamond on Royal Carribean, you are Elite on Celebrity. But what about Diamond Plus on Royal? Are you Elite Plus on Celebrity? An Pinnacle are you Zenith? Or does the recognition stop at Elite? The levels above Diamond/Elite do not have any more recognition on the other line.
Garavar Posted January 14, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 14, 2015 So Elite Plus and Zenith don't exist on Celebrity? Is that what you mean? Sent from my SGH-T699 using Forums mobile app
Starry Eyes Posted January 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) - If you are Platinum or Emerald on Royal Caribbean, you are Select on Celebrity. - If you are Diamond or Diamond plus or Pinnacle on Royal Carribean, you are Elite on Celebrity. Yes, reciprocal recognition stops at Elite. One must earn E+/Zwith celebrity points. And in reverse, a Celebrity cruiser going on Royal Caribbean will find reciprocity will only get them to Diamond. you must earn D+/P with C&A points Edited January 14, 2015 by Starry Eyes
Clarea Posted January 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2015 So Elite Plus and Zenith don't exist on Celebrity? Is that what you mean? No, I mean Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle all equate to Elite. Elite, Elite Plus, and Zenith all equate to Diamond.

Garavar Posted January 14, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Ouch that hurts so if you want to hit Elite Plus or Zenith on Celebrity you have to start from 0 pts even if you are Pinnacle on Royal Sent from my SGH-T699 using Forums mobile app

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2015 That's the way it is now. Who knows if it will change sometime. In typical RC form they will take away all reciprocal recognition. Oops, did I say that out loud. ;)
tapemann Posted January 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 16, 2015 RCI should run the programs like Marriott runs their program. You get credit if you stay at a Courtyard, Town Place Suites, or Spring Hill Suites, or Full service Hotel. RCCL doesn't want people to try Celebrity and Like it better. If you worked your way to the top who wants to start over. What they don't think of is that it all helps if people Cruise more on Both lines. They each have different type of cruises. Help people cross lines

tserface Posted February 19, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 19, 2015 It's still a pretty darn good deal. I don't think Carnival offers that between their lines. Even if you'd never cruised on Celebrity before and just want to try it you get to be Elite your first cruise. I like it and I'm surprised they are still doing it with the massing number of D's and E's on the lines. Tom
nelblu Posted February 19, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 19, 2015 If you are D on RCL is there reciprocal to get the balcony discount on Celeb.
tserface Posted February 19, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 19, 2015 No balcony discount (at least not last time we tried), but you can get the category upgrade that Elites get. Tom If you are D on RCL is there reciprocal to get the balcony discount on Celeb.
Starry Eyes Posted February 19, 2015 #18 Share Posted February 19, 2015 If you are D on RCL is there reciprocal to get the balcony discount on Celeb. Celebrity does not give balcony discounts to loyalty members, so no, being D won't get you such a discount.

My favorite on board the ship cruise line. Remember there are no flowriders on any X ship... so they suck.. until I get too old to fall on the flowrider... jc
