Thanks for posting. We went down last Saturday and watched the Grand depart Vancouver. In one of the muffled announcements we thought we heard the CD say something about an App.

Wondering why nobody posted this link?

Of course I am using Windows 10, but I don't see why that is the reason?

Two reasons:

  • I searched for the page this morning before I posted; it was not available at that time.

  • The app is so easy to find on the iTunes App Store a link to take you to the web page is not really necessary.

I hope they fixed the notifications so it is audible and can be seen and heard when not in the app. Otherwise Push Notification is pretty much useless for timely messaging.

I hope not.

No need to have lectures interrupted constantly by passenger's being notified by sound that there is a new message.

And in a darkened theater, no need to have bright lights popping up around the room as people look at their screens while disturbing other passengers.

Without notifications, the screens will be lighting up as people

(manually) poll for messages. Could be even more frequent...

For notifications, I have my phone set to vibrate a bit and light

the notification led. Whether to have the screen light up is

a user choice. I guess whether it's a problem depends on

what you think of the courtesy of your fellow passengers.

I don't think anyone would sign up for a texting plan on land,

where their phone just sat there when new messages arrive.

That would be very frustrating.
