cb at sea Posted September 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Which line did you sail, and are you sailing? There have been some changes on some lines in the last several years....drink packages, charges for room service on some lines......
paul929207 Posted September 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2015 It is hard to remember when things happened. Most lines are limiting liquids you can bring on board. Most allow 1 bottle of wine per adult. Most do not allow any other alcohol. Some limit non-alcohol too. Most offer all you can drink for sodas and for alcohol. Krazy Kruizers Posted September 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2015 A lot has changed on all the cruise lines. You really should ask your question on the Carnival board.
Shmoo here Posted September 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2015 We've been on NCL; princess; carnival and HA - this time we are looking at Carnival Splendor Well, the most recent biggie on Carnival is the "no bottles" restriction. You can only bring cans or cartons. American Table menus are fairly "recent" (since 2014).
OCruisers Posted September 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Lots of changes with alcohol and smoking regulations. Do also post this on the Carnival forum here on Cruise Critic.
SelectSys Posted September 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I am going back this fall after several years as well. I am wondering if I will see substantial declines in service.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 29, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 29, 2015 A lot has changed. Some for the better and some not for the better. Yes, you might ask this on the Carnival Board. Keith
GUT2407 Posted September 29, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 29, 2015 Probably the buggy on Carnival is the no taking bottles of anything on.
sail7seas Posted September 29, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 29, 2015 There are significant changes on almost all the cruise lines. Lots of cost cutting, crew staffing numbers down, more alternative restaurants, more rigid bans on smoking (happily :)), more cruise line created stops (Costa Maya, Grand Turk, Amber Cove etc).......
