nfcu Posted October 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2015 Looking over the newly posted deck plans, I do not see a casino anywhere. Am I missing something? I know that Viking's new ships and Europa 2 do not have casinos, but none on a Silversea ship? First no main dining room and now no casino. Are they trying to be like Disney? Master Echo Posted October 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2015 We were told by an HD that the casinos on SS ships lose money. Maybe this is why there is not one on the Muse, if indeed this proves to be correct. Kindest regards, Master Echo

But Muse will have a much larger passenger load and thus more prospective gamers.
wripro Posted October 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Maybe there'll be no casino so people won't gamble away the money they scam for Mrs. Silversea's charity!
Rare FlyerTalker Posted October 27, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Maybe the feeling is that gamblers will all be heading to Crystal, now that the new owners are putting in "high roller" rooms in their casinos.
meow! Posted October 29, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) Come on, folks. Let's look on the bright side. The boutiques are still there! :) At least from the deck plan drawings, the space allocated to the boutique(s) is much smaller on the Muse! . Edited October 29, 2015 by meow! Randyk47 Posted October 31, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 31, 2015 The placement and size of The Library makes me wonder if that's just been "penciled in" as a placeholder for a potential casino. The Spirit has the casino and Connoisseur's Corner next to each other so maybe. ???? No offense to our more learned Society members but I can't say I've seen the library exactly crowded on the Wind or the Spirit.

USAFSS4Ever Posted October 31, 2015 #14 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Unfair question!!! :o:D Perhaps not. After losing my money I often retreat to the library in hopes of learning how to do better next time.:D:D

Doubled1234 Posted October 31, 2015 #16 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Of course the casinos on SS loose money their slot machines are old and outdated and are inconvenient to use. On Crystal I'm in the casino every night but on SS occasionally play a slot machine that is if you can find one that works correctly. This is my biggest SS complaint while I am an avid passenger on SS.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted November 9, 2015 #17 Share Posted November 9, 2015 A Casino that doesn't make money???????Sound like it needs a new management company. Rick
bspill Posted March 13, 2016 #18 Share Posted March 13, 2016 It's obvious what demographic they are pursuing and I am not part of it. Wonder if SS has done any market research with their regular customer base regarding childrens' facilities. They may find out people are avoiding booking on the Muse as a result of that decision. Master Echo Posted March 13, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Last November whilst on the Whisper we got confirmation from SS Corporate via the VS host that there would be a casino and we included this in our blog on our Amazon cruise. The explanation offered was that aspects of the deck plans were still "fluid". We made the enquiry to assuage UK Jeff's disappointment at the apparent lack of this facility. Kindest regards Mastef Echo

Florida Cruiser 005 Posted December 28, 2016 #21 Share Posted December 28, 2016 I received information from my travel consultant that the Silverseas Muse will have a casino. She was on a webinar with Silverseas and was told that there will be a casino on the Muse. If someone can also verify this information I would appreciate the double check.
