Safe journeys everyone. :)

A lot of us will continue to cruise - perhaps you can too, if you can obtain some anti-hysteria medication.

It is interesting to hear that perhaps five or six people suffered MINOR injuries on the Anthem. One would have thought that the list of the wounded would have been significantly longer if the expressions of terror attributed to some passengers are to be believed. Any group of more than four thousand people on a three day trip to anywhere is likely to have as many injuries.

I would not have enjoyed that aborted sailing - but once the buzz settles down I believe the whole terrifying odyssey will be seen for what it really was: far more hype than peril.

Lets meet on a smaller ship out of Tampa one day...

I love your stats, and passion for what you think... :)

I started this thread, so perhaps I am not a troll. lol ;)

Our forecaster, Paul Dellagato said this was forecasted

to be Hurricane force winds before the ship sailed.

I am not disputing the fact the the "New" Captain

thought he could out run the storm.

If they lost power, as has been documented on other ships,

including your friends on the Doomed cargo ship El Faro,

this I hope you would concur would not have been a good outcome.

I see this my friend: The ships get bigger every year.

The hulls get smaller every year. So you can do all the numbers

you want but soon it will lead to a ship capsizing in the future.

Ships capsize all the time. Many times they can not find the ship.

I can give you our local weather guys email so you can learn that he

and many weather guys Knew this storm was going to happen.

Send us your email so I can send you all the links we have.

We have been cruising with our children for 22 years, love making new connections

and meeting all the crew, staff, and of Course those bridge tours with the Captain. :)

Take care and have a fun cruise folks,

So, I asked you if 150 mile winds and high seas was a hundred year event the ship is designed for?

I Love your answer that this ship is designed for 175 knots: aka 200 plus MPH winds

for 3 days.

Wow. I love all the facts you disclose.

We will be looking for that cruise soon.

Is the show tonight cancelled? lol

Take care,

We are the Moore's

Tampa Bay :)

Would it be possible for you to post the links you keep mentioning? I don't really want to broadcast my email address for everyone to see.

I think these links may be of ... limited use, anyway. Some people won't let facts, common sense, or the voices of experience stand in the way of hype and hysteria

Final post to the OP before they join the ignore list.

No, I won't broadcast my e-mail to the world.

Please provide, here on CC so the general cruising public can learn, a list of ships that "capsize all the time".

The Captain of the Anthem has been a Captain for RCI for over 14 years, not exactly "new".

I'm not disputing your claim that your weather forecaster claimed the storm would be hurricane strength before the ship sailed. I am disputing his knowledge of ships and his claim that the ship was "minutes from disaster".

Buh bye.

I'm still waiting for the OP to post his/her credentials to give weight to their less than stellar knowledge of ship engineering, physics, and weather predicting. Those of us that have read many threads where chengkp75 has posted are well aware of his knowledge, experience and training. For the op to infer that cheng doesn't know what he is talking about is laughable.

The poll has the dumbest answers ever. What 150 mph winds? I have yet to hear or read any report of such a wind speed occurring. Pretty much goes with the rest of the post. Nonsense.
