What is the cheapest youve seen (or paid!) for the Haven?

Just wondering....what is the cheapest you have seen for a Haven room? Any room category or type...even with an upsell...how much did you get it for?

"free" upgrade while on ship thanks to HUGO, the Star's (I seem to remember it was on the Star) Hotel Director!

Booked and paid for an inside, had a real problem on the cruise with one employee nearly being physically abusive towards us, challenging me and my boyfriend to a fistfight...ship's security and Hugo got involved......he pulled us out of the inside and put up up in a Haven Suite, took care of all the gratuities and comped us $300 each obc!

I am assuming the employee not only lost his cool but his job as well.

My sister and I went on an Alaskan cruise last year, and two days before we departed the upsell fairy called, and offered us a haven suite for an extra $500. each. So in addition to our balcony room, we paid just over $1700. (each) - for a week in the Haven. The brochure rate was close to $8,000. Well worth every penny and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity...

$194 for the two from regular balcony to Haven Spa suite on Epic, on a three day in the Med and booked out far.

Monitored the cruise once or twice a week at the TA's site, the smart cruiser I am! ;) The cruise fish might be good for that too.

Took advantage from a second price drop one month out, as I almost saw availability run out per day, making it a close call but succeeded when other Haven (mainly courtyard) cabins began to ran out.

 

Also got all the Haven promo perks (terms have changed to longer cruises only) like $300 OBC, DSC, UBP and UDP so it was a no brainer. :)

 

But it could be any price, there's no formula to it.. it's more about strategy and deciding on the spot. I would even call a TA for such if I was an US citizen.

12 day haven 2br family suite on the Epic TA in 2014 for 1499€ solo rate.

10 day Mediterranean Epic coming up in 44 days. Booked last year when price was under $6000 in a 2 bedroom with free 3/4 guests, UDP, UBP, gratuities and the excursion credits. I thought this was a great deal compared to what we've paid on other haven suites.

BA this December for $2100pp. MIL is sailing with us (free) so that brought us down to $1400pp and since this is booked Haven and not an upsell, all perks included!

We are on the Escape over spring break. We booked a BD balcony in Nov 2014 and just received an upsell to the H5 Haven Penthouse the other day. Our total price now for the H5 cabin with taxes was $1,800 per person (2 adults) and $699 for my son.

Booked a Guarantee Balcony. Called and asked about an upsell. They said no can do.

 

An hour later, I got an upsell offer for $500/person for Haven Forward Penthouse Balcony. With other offers for more money for better rooms (750 for Haven Spa) 12. The rep I talked to hooked me up. I'm sure he put me on the upsell list after we hung up.

 

So I'm paying 1200/person for a Haven suite. Pretty great deal in my opinion.

i have a spreadsheet of haven spa rooms on BA for the next year. you can get 2099 on thanksgiving and december and that includes the 200 dollar thermal passes.

 

i paid 2199 for nov 6

On our Jewel Pacific Coastal, we were booked in the OS (full price). My TA called me asking if I wanted the Garden Villa for $100/pp! :eek: Of course I said YES....then my TA told me she already told them yes as well! Didn't want to lose it!!! ;)

We had a free cruise from the casino, upgraded to balcony for 150 each. You still pay port fees, taxes. Then settled on 400 each to go to the Haven courtyard penthouse on Breakaway in November. Free UBP at the time we booked.

 

We bring what a cruise would cost us and gamble that. This time we came home up so all was great..

It was fabulous and I know I'll probably never be able to afford that again! We had the Cruise Critic sail away party there and pretty much just kept the suite open to any CC member on the cruise!
