Carnival $100 Gift Card for $80-3/13 only till 9pm PT

I logged into my Paypal and I was only charged $80 as expected.

When making the purchase for the $100 gift card, the website said $100, and after I entered the code it showed the $80 final price after taking out the $20 flash sale discount (like DebbieMo posted).

Not sure if I'm allowed to name the seller, but I bought from paypal digital gifts on eBay for the ecard option. As firemanbobswife said, the website said to allow up to 24 hours for ecard delivery. Not sure if ordering from Paypal's shop made a difference in how my PP account was billed versus those who ordered physical cards from a different seller, although this COULD be the case (hence why I specifically ordered from Paypal's shop for this Paypal event, in the hopes that things would go most smoothly).

I think what's happening is that the seller is getting $100 because they are not running the sale so they wouldn't be able to give you any info on it. eBay is running the code therefore they are the ones applying the credit of $20 to your payment so your payment to seller would show $100 but you will be charged $80 through PayPal due to the eBay coupon code.

That makes sense. Thank you for the information and thank you OP! I managed to snag 2 of the $500 gift cards from AARP and got the deal on the Mastercard so this puts me to saving $220 on my portion of trip next year and the friends I am going with have saved $250 on their portion through the same deals.

Log on to your eBay account and do a search for C20FLASH. A page will come up that walks you through the steps. Just don't forget to enter the coupon code

I do this and the only thing that shows up is for a Bosch drill set. How do I go about getting notified by Ebay when this happens?

Those that were worried about placing the orders at $80.00 or $82.99 and it showed you paid $100.00 or $102.99 on the invoice and PayPal I had the same thing happen to the card I bought and my wife did too but this morning it shows on our bank account 2 charges for $82.99 so apparently it fixes itself when it processes the payment.

Awesome deal original poster, thanks for sharing. Between these cards and the Verizon cards, I saved a lot for our up coming cruise. Now we'll be able to consume some extra booze and playing the casino more

Got both of mine, did a balance check and both have $100. Called carnival for another reason but asked if I could apply the GC to my sign & sail beforehand but they said I needed to wait until I was on board.

If you have a balance due on your cruise can you put it towards that?

That is correct. You cannot apply it beforehand. I fund my S&S accounts exclusively with gift cards. And actually they will take them at check in and issue a receipt so it's all done and you can start charging immediately.

I booked through a TA and didn't think I would have been able to but called them up and they were able to apply it to my final payment.

I cruise in June and since this wasn't a physical card I just wanted to get it applied so I don't forget about it. I was able to apply it to my final payment! Definitely will look out for more and hopefully I will have a bunch to add to my S&S.

I have always gotten e-cards with the exception of one. So if you get more, you can either print them and bring them with or have them on your phone and they can apply them that way. This last time I bought one online while in St Thomas, showed it to the lady at Guest Services and she applied it no problem.
