His crew thinks he walks on water ;) Went out in Ketchikan a couple of years ago, walked into the Tongass Trading Co. store down the dock, and came back with gloves and beanies for all the security guards. Very beloved captain and yes, loves the wildlife, especially in Alaska. He holds competitions on the bridge who; quartermaster, Deck officer, etc. can spot the first bear ashore.

Captain Bos was also Rotterdam Vs (now a museum/hotel ship in the port of Rotterdam) last captain before the ship was sold to Premier Cruises back in 1997

 

Captain Bos was on my first HAL cruise (Rotterdam V, 1997) and Staff Captain was Captain Albert.

 

Only time I sailed with Captain Albert

We have sailed twice with Capt Darin Bowland, and think he is really great. On the Koningsdam in Norway this June we had his son with him, and told us on the daily address about their hikes in each port. He is very interesting and entertaining to listen to. Also he got us into a few ports earlier than planned, so we had more time, made a detour to a waterfall and seemed very keen to make sure there was as much scenic cruising as possible.

Morning Father; if the rotation stays as is, it will be Captain Henk Draper's turn. Ten months is a long time though, and lots of changes can happen
