elizatys Posted September 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2016 How long does it usually take to get tendered? Does fttf help really? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
figdu Posted September 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2016 You don't tender in Cozumel and as a Platinum yes priority helps in GC.
riffatsea Posted September 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Only Grand Cayman is a tender port not Cozumel. If you are platinum or have FTTF or book an excursion with Carnival you will not take long to get off the ship. FTTF and Platinum can just meet by Guest Relations and just say "I am ready to leave" and off you go. Folks with Carnival excursions will be told where to meet and what time. Folks without any of that may need to wait and get a number for leaving so hard to predict how long that may take.
elizatys Posted September 13, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Ok....another question....fttf says you choose early or late debarkation on last day, how late is late? Will I have time to sleep in a little and eat breakfast before leaving the ship? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
riffatsea Posted September 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Everyone has time to eat breakfast before leaving the ship but all need to be off by about 10AM so that they can prepare the ship for the next cruise. I think they ask everyone to be out of their cabins by about 8:30AM so that the stewards can start their work. We never pick "late" as we want to be off and to our car or to the airport as soon as possible. Edited September 13, 2016 by riffatsea

Going back to the ship, be prepared to wait in a long line.
elizatys Posted September 13, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted September 13, 2016 One more....we are leaving from Tampa which says boarding times are from 1-3 anyway, how early would our room be ready without fttf? We are trying to decide if fttf is worth the cost for this cruise! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
BallFour4 Posted September 13, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Platinum and FTTF only works when leaving the ship. Going back to the ship be prepared to wait in a long line. Get a bottle of water, cold beer or soda and sit in the shade and watch the line go down. This works in Grand Cayman and in case you dock at the NAS in Key West. We've been there once, the balance of trips we docked at Mallory Square. Also, platinum guests can take up to 5 people with them. . skrufy Posted September 13, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Tendering to GC takes about 5 minutes. Unless you need to get to GC early you wont need FTTF. Ater the first 1/2 hour to 45 minutes the line to get on the tender moves quickly. Edited September 13, 2016 by skrufy
Karnyval Posted September 13, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Tendering is possible in Cozumel, but not likely for Carnival. More likely on NCL Food options are usually shutdown by 9am or earlier.
bakersdozen12 Posted September 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 13, 2016 We had FTTF last year in Grand Cayman (on the Dream) and we were instructed to meet in the MDR at a certain time (not at GS). It definitely helped, as we were able to get on the first tender. Other people that we were cruising with that didn't have FTTF or priority privileges had to wait upwards of an hour. OCruisers Posted September 13, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 13, 2016 It is EXTREMELY unlikely you'll tender in Cozumel. :)

evandbob Posted September 13, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 13, 2016 If the OP is doing a 7 day western itinerary, he/she probably meant Belize instead of Coz as the 2nd tender port. The Belize tender is about 3x as long as the short Grand Cayman tender.
