Has anyone ever dropped off a rental car at the Avis Car Rental at 211 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn - if so any tips and also - what is the best way to get to the terminal at Red Hook from the car rental.

Perhaps the rental location provides a shuttle to the pier or you could get a cab- it seems that it may be a short drive to the ship after you turn in the rental car.

So you would walk the nearly 2 miles to the cruise port?

Avis did not supply a official transfer to the ship , but an employee offered to drive us over ( earned a nice tip) . Alternative would be a cab for the short ride .

We sure would want your phone! Never had one that would take us from Point A to Point B...without some kind of transportation :).

Have you called the specific car rental location directly. Not the general Avis # but the specific location number. Seems like that would be the totally obvious thing to do.
