Hello from Cheznandy Live on the Emerald Princess

Enjoyed the update, keep them coming. Which aft pool are you enjoying Chez, the Terrace?

Good to know about the adapter hint.

Yes, the terrace pool, sometimes crowded, especially on a sea day. Up a few stairs is a large spa and a circular pool with ladder type steps to access. The Terrace pool has easy access steps with a railing

We also use the Lotus pool, much quieter, both are adults only.

Are there many kids on your cruise? Have you noticed them?

Hardly any Mic, have noticed a few more as the cruise has gone on. Saw one boy in a lift last night going to kids club....saw one at breakfast this morning haha they are few and far between.

We really like cruising in November, cheaper and more price drops, usually good weather and less kids.

Also for Gut....the Xmas decos were up when we boarded and the ship looks beautiful.

And for Anna.....I asked last night if Traditional diners were allowed to do Anytime time, her reply was " of cause mame, as long as they let their waiter know they will not be there" so there you go, anyone can rock up to anytime on this ship.

I must say at 7.45pm in Michalangelo it is only half full.

Ok off to look at the shops, coffee and trivia, just another day at sea!!

Cheers, those are the cruises I like also where you hardly notice the kids (even if there is lots on board). I think November would be good for having less kids aboard though.

Do they have a European power point as well?

The only ones in our cabin/stateroom are the outlet that takes the two flat vertical pins (positive and negative) and one round earth pin. Hope this helps. I have a universal adaptor that is working fine. There is also a USB outlet on the back of the TV that is easily accessible.

Thanks Chez. I think we'll follow your lead...and tips. Enjoy Port Denarau tomorrow. The weather looks perfect.

Hi all, sorry I cant reply to every comment, internet running slow, but will answer when home and dont have to count the minutes.

Lovely sea day yesterday, weather great.

A sleep in, breakfast in horizon court, we love it down the back in Cafe Caribe. They also open it for lunch on sea days with a different theme of cuisine.

Coffee in the piazza, they have set tables with cloths all around the piazza so plenty of seating, went to trivia, held in Club Fusion.

Relaxed in the sun above the Calypso pool

Padded lounges there!!

Had our first slice off yummy pizza for lunch.

A swim and spa in the lotus pool then a quick change of clothes and off to the 2.15pm movie in the Princess Theatre, The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe.

A quick afternoon tea in Horizon court, those large windows looking out to sea are beautiful.

Drinks up in Skywalkers about 6pm watching the sunset, then saw the 7pm comedian in Explorers lounge, always packed seats in there.

7.45pm dinner in Michalangelos and we were buggered, bed early as we have an early start in Port Denaru.

We are scheduled to dock at 7am, so it is bye for now from the Emerald Princes!!

Another quick update, had a fabulous day at Port Denaru, did a private tour to the Mud Pools.

Included a massage.

We had two vans, 7 in ours and we had heaps of fun. After the pools we did a bit of sightseeing ending with lunch at Smugglers Cove and a cold beer. Hot hot hot today, sun shining with a bit of rain in the afternoon.

Back on board we had a swim in the little round pool above the terrace pool. It was Sushi in Skywalkers, then a late dinner in Horizon court as it was French cuisine in the restaurant and none of the menu appealed to us.

The buffet was busy, we remember why we dont to dinner there haha.

Man and woman plonked next to us, he coughed and blew his nose coninuously.....we took our wine and desert out on the aft deck......I preferred the wind!!!!

Ye ol pub night tonight in Explorers, but we were early to bed as we have another early start in Suva in the morning.

Great info, but particularly about the kids. We did back to back cruises on Voyager of the Seas last November and there we so many on the earlier Nov cruise (5th/13 nights approx 400+), and then heaps more on the second leg (18th/10 nights 550+). We were amazed and very disappointed. We make sure to go out of school holidays since once doing a Radiance cruise one January with 770 under 18s. Now I understand you have to expect kids in school holidays, but early November?

We like to have a quiet relaxing time, and we are seriously looking at Princess. We like our loyalty perks on Royal Caribbean, and it is nice to cruise on Solstice, but too many Solstice cruises either start or finish in NZ, and the flights add a lot of price, and I do not enjoy the extra hassle of flying.

Hope the rest of your cruise continues to go well. :)

Royal and Carnival are definitely geared up for kids (families) with their attractions compared to Celebrity and Princess and to a certain extent with the pricing as well.

Hi again, have had trouble getting internet.

These 4 Fiji port stops in a row are tiring us out!! We love our sea days.

Did a private tour with our CC group to the rainforest and water hole, two buses of 22 squeezed in. It was quite a walk to the water hole and very hot and steamy. Somehow our itinerary got mucked up and we ended up tasting fruit at some market?? And didnt get to the museum. Suva is still hot and busy.

Next time we will do our own thing as there are places we want to revisit.

Back on board it was beers on the aft deck and a swim.

Dinner tonight in the dining room, and a lightening show out at sea!!

Had my first look at the casino and donated some $$$.

Casino looks very bare, not as many machines and tables.

Just anchored at Savu Savu, check in later!!

Wow, shame about your shorex being stuffed around. The Casino's are always willing to accept donations of any denomination or currency.

Chez,

Next time you're in Skywalkers, could you check out the naughty (ahem) corner (on left as you enter) for people using PVs (personal vaporizers). I'm not sure if you can still use them there.

I know it is a different ship but I don't recall anyone on the Golden smoking or vaping in the corner.

We don't smoke or use vaporizers, but when we were on the Emerald a few weeks ago, I am pretty sure there was a notice regarding smoking or using vaporizers. The same limitations were applied to both. :)

Off topic now but what is with PV's? I don't get them....my grown son was smoking one the other day, a strawberry one and I'm like what the heck, why don't you just suck on a lollypop? This belongs with the other things I just don't get like ripped jeans, ripped tops, ripped anything and the riding low phenomenon.

Ok back to business.....a question for Chez (or anyone else), are we able to take a power strip onboard?
