2 people playing on same SS card in casino?

This might be a crazy question but is it possible for me and my boyfriend to both play in the casino and let me get all the points? So ultimately we both play on SS cards linked to my name. I'm not sure if you can have more than one card, and if so, can two cards be used in the casino at the same time.

You can only have one card. A duplicate cancels the first. Also, you would not be able to have the same card inserted in two different machines at the same time. Their computers know exactly who is at what machine at all times. A They also check the cards on any hand pay jackpots and will not pay if you are using someone's else's.

I would hate to be using someone else's S&S card and hit a jackpot on the machine. I'm guessing they may not pay off because of the switch.

 

Has this actually happened to anyone? Luckily for me, I only use my card when playing slots so I've never had a problem with ID verification on taxable payoffs.

I remember reading a while back that there was an underage kid playing the slots and hit big time. When they came to pay off, his parents said it was one of them that was playing the machine. They refused to pay because it was on record that the kid was playing when he won.

Not speaking from experience, but from what I've read here on the boards, and unfortunately it sounds like this won't be allowed. Now at every land based casino they will give you as many players cards as you would like, and as your planned a lot of couple will play using cards linked to one persons account so the points add up faster and they get better comps. It sounds like on Carnival the way their system is set up is it won't register points from multiple tables/machines simultaneously.

You may want to take turns playing and just play on one card.This is what we have done for a while and it works great.We work in land base casinos and it can be done because like others have said they will give you 50 cards with the same name if you wish. But it looks like you just may be trying to get more points for the drinks on us card or other comps.Id take turns it works for us

She was able to earn drink comps for the week and earn enough player points for a free cruise, which she took me on later.

But the part of your post that really stuck out to me is that the two of you earned enough points for a free cruise? I don't remember the exact amount, but when I looked at this on a recent cruisie, determined that that would require a *lot* of gambling. Sounds like you two gamble like I approach dining: aggressively. :)

That is why slot pulls are set up with the casino. Also, some slot pulls groups are so petty that one of the rules is not using anyone's card so no one benefits from the points.

The only one I ever did was on Celebrity and we just all showed up, picked a Wheel of Fortune machine and each put our $20 in and played 10 spins or whatever it was. Had no issue with the organizer using her card. There were a lot of people and it was pretty labor intensive. I wasn't aware that you had to let the casino know ahead of time.

I did not use my SScard. She used her SScard, I just gave my money for her to play along with her money in the slots. She did hit 500.00 in the slots which we split half. To sum up the experience, I started the with 500.00 of my own money and left the ship with 350.00 in my wallet with a free cruise which she took me on. All winnings were under her card.

Yep I saw it happen last Feb on Glory.Lady hit a $5000 jackpot and husbands card was in machine. Boy were they pissed when she didn"t get the $$$

I would think that obviously the person whose card is in the machine would be right there. That person would get paid. And I think they also get a W2-G for gambling winnings. I know someone who won a big jackpot on a slot, on a cruise, and got a W2-G.

 

If that scenario would happen there would be some math to do so the person claiming would get compensated for the taxes.

Me too. But if they go by whoever's card is physically in the machine, then there could be an issue. Never crossed my mind until someone mentioned it. Agree about the taxes. That would have to be factored in to everyone's payout.

I at times switch machines with my WIFE, because of the 1500 points for drink card. She plays more then me. I really don't know if that was legual or not.

I don't think I ever saw someone playing two machine at the same time. As in land casinos.

My sister hit a jackpot while I was sitting next to her. The casino manager, after congratulating her asked for HER SS card so he could make out the check. She did have her SS in the machine and they checked so it had to be her jackpot.
