Elite Laundry Coupon

Yes, you are right. In fact, my family of four stayed in a single cabin during our 15 night cruise last month. There were four Elite coupon sheets waiting for us I'm our cabin when we arrived. We used three of the free laundry coupons.

Not sure that will work. As I understand it all the items you send in for a wash/dry/fold to the laundry are then placed in a muslin type washbag that is tagged and sealed, and in turn washed and dried as part of an industrial sized washer load (items don't come back with the individual wash tags on them).

Your dress shirts may end up suffering from colour bleed and/or stubborn creases from over drying in the bag.

For the few dollars it costs best to have them properly laundered and keep the pressing (not ironing) for trousers and jackets etc.

How would you suggest I do that while on board?

Our last cruise was on Princess.

We are Elite there also and get free laundry and dry cleaning.

I sent my husband's white dress shirt out in the dry cleaning bag, thinking to take better care of it but when it came back he HATED the way it was pressed.

I then sent it out in the laundry (Princess, unlike Celebrity , presses most clothes even in the laundry bag!! :D ) and he was very satisfied with how it looked.

We are on the Eclipse for a month and will need to get his dress shirts laundered so just how do I insure they are taken care of properly?

So I'm asking again.

How would you have a dress shirt properly laundered?

Err, place the shirt into a laundry bag, fill the slip out and note any special instructions down. The shirt will then be laundered, dried and pressed according to the ship standards for which you will be charged somewhere around $6 - of course it may be that the ships standards are not as high as your own, and there will be the inevitable disclaimer regarding damage liability.

The alternative of course is either bring sufficient dress shirts that you can take them home and launder them personally post cruise, or rethink whether you actually need dress shirts at all.

And what is the difference between that and putting that shirt in my wash and fold bag and using my press coupon?

I'm not trying to be disagreeable - I just think laundry is laundry and it will be handled the same.

I just use two bags to fill with my allotted number of items, marking them #1 of 2 and #2 of 2. Never had a problem.

They are also often returned in two bags. I love finding the little stickers with my room number months later. They make me look forward to the next cruise.

are the coupons gone on all ships and sailings? So much for me using all of my family's match play casino coupons :( Also I like to choose which items to use my coupons on perhaps not the first ones (dry cleaning for example).

I will wish for paper coupons again :(

The paper coupons are gone on the Eclipse, but you can chose the items to use your coupons on. You write it on the ticket. The coupons for the Laundry were always kind of silly anyway.

I have to find out about the match play. It was not mentioned in our packet.

I agree with this just send it out separately from the bag where you use the coupon and with a different slip. The price is currently $7.95 per long sleeve dress shirt but comes back nicely pressed (in my opinion) and on a hanger.

We have also had the white labels put on each piece of laundry when we use the wash and fold coupons, so far not had any complaint and have been very happy with the service.

The same for us. The very few times when we had a problem, it was because the laundry didn't follow the instructions we wrote on the laundry form.

When we mentioned it to our stateroom attendant, he brought the assistant chief housekeeper ? (a person with some such long title) to see us.

We described the problem to him, and he took the garment back and made it right.

When we were staying in a suite and had a problem with the laundry, we mentioned it to our butler, who took care of the whole thing himself (as butlers do), and we didn't even need to see anyone else about it.

I missed it. You lead me to recheck and there it was.

Thank you.
