Non-Refundable OBC for B2B Cruises Question

This past year we did b2b cruises and had little OBC for the first leg of our cruises. However, next year we again have booked two cruises b2b. On the first leg we have accumulated substantial OBC's. On our last b2b (Regal) we received only one shipboard account statement for both cruises. Does any one know if your "non-refundable" OBC's at the end of the first leg are carried to the second leg?

There is one way to tell - assuming you have the same cabin for both legs. Does your cruise card show an ending date which is the day you will actually disembark the ship, or is the end date the end of the first voyage? Check when you board. Non - refundable OBC can be used in the casino. Simply buy in, gamble a tiny bit and cash out - you have just refunded your non-refundable OBC.

No it's not.

Yes, on every b2b, and b2b2b cruise we took, 17 of them, unused non-refundable OBC rolled over. Internet minutes also rolled over.

Thanks to everyone for your comments comments. On our last b2b the cruise card reflected the last day of the second leg. Yes, we will have the same cabin on our future cruise. With the experience of folks (sknight) having 17 b2b and b2b2b cruises I feel confident the OBC will transfer. If not as a fellow cruiser suggested, "there is always the casino.

Thanks again

I’ve done more than a dozen B2B cruises and left over OBC from the first cruise has always carried over to the second and from the second to the third. However, if you want to be sure just stop by the Passenger Service Desk some day early in your cruise and ask them. I usually do that just to be sure.

We have taken several B2B cruises and on each one, everything remaining at the end of the first leg carried over to the second leg-------onboard credits and unused internet minutes,

That might be the very next cutback.

Confiscation of unused minutes between B2B cruises.

Who knows...with all the rest of the dilutions happening lately, it might be next.

In the past it has been iffy as to whether "free" minutes can be carried over from one segment to another. Always check with the Internet Cafe manager during the first segment to make sure it will happen for your cruise. Paid minutes have been transferable to the next segment with no problem.

However, Princess has been working to become more like the competition which means eliminating the things that were special about Princess such as being able to reserve a shore excursion in advance and pay for it at the end of the cruise.

Since the competition does not let you carry over an onboard account or unused Internet minutes to the next segment, I expect Princess to eliminate that uniqueness also,

Once our last trip I was told that they might carry over but there was no guarantee. I truly believe that they might eliminate this feature very shortly.

After all, they'll sell more minutes for sure on the second leg.
