Specialty Dining on Anthem

Recommended Posts

We have a group of 6. 3 are foodies. 1 likes to eat. So the questions are:

At Chops

1) can you have multiple entrees (if disappointed with one or just want to have 2)

2) is service better /more attentive than MDR

3) are you rushed?

At Jamie Oliver's

1) is there a steak option?

2) can you have multiple entrees?

Please rate these two restaurants based on Past experiences.

Thanks in advance. Also regarding the multiple entrees question, I ask not to over indulge but many members of the group like trying new things and that is what they like about MDR

1 entree, but multiple appetizers and possibly desserts. Yes, the service is "attentive"...and you won't be rushed. It's CHOPS...there are plenty of meat/steak options! It's a meat place! If you want more than 1 entree, I think there's an additional charge.

Jaimies'....it's italian...they have meats, but not so much STEAKS...at least, not the popular cuts.

If you can eat all the food they give you....kudos...you've stretched that stomach out to epic proportions!

Foodies should dine at Wonderland. It’s about as foodie as you can get.

You can go to a steakhouse or Italian joint on any street corner at home.

Another vote for the Wonderland experience. With a group of 6 you will get a full range of dishes brought by your server to share. The foodies will go crazy and the non foodies will still have fish, beef, chicken, and pork options plus interesting desserts. There will be many courses, so no one will go hungry.

Sample menus can been seen on your cruise planner for all specialty restaurants.

That's our plan. I also feel that Wonderland provides an extra value with the whimsical approach. It's something that you can't get at home. It's worth the extra up charge even if the food turns out to be just on par.

Although not listed on Jamie's menu, the lamb chops, on request, are great to go along with the meat/cheese platter.

Wonderland--strange menu items.

Strange is in the eye of the beholder.

I would say "imaginative".

Plenty of food for sure. Jaimie's has always provided us a good experience. Chops on Anthem was beyond horrible. It took just shy of three hours and the wait between courses exceeded the bounds of reason.

This is a very objective topic. As for us, the worst place was Jamie's. If that's what they call Italian then You would be better off at Olive Garden which around here we say they are famous for Baloney Alfredo. YUK!

Chops had pretty good steak but their sides are getting smaller and smaller as noted on the Adventure of the Seas a few weeks back.

For foodies, you definitely need to go to Wonderland at least once. The experience and the food are both very unique and you definitely will not leave there hungry.

Lamb chops were on the menu a couple of weeks ago.

I’ll give another vote for Wonderland.

Jamie’s was also fantastic.

Service is generally better than the MDR, though our Wonderland server a couple of weeks ago may have been having an off night. The food more than made up for it.
