At the moment (morning of 6-25) the stock is at 57.75 down about 5.75.

Earnings were good, but they lowered the future forecast, primarily due to oil prices.

At this price, the stock dividend is close to 3.5%.

$100 OBC is a good reason to buy the CCL stock, but ONLY when the price crashes, like right now.

How many shares do you need to buy to get the $100 OBC?

Is the OBC given for all 8 cruise lines of CCL--Carnival, Costa, Cunard, Seabourn, Princess, Holland America, P&O UK and P&O Australia?

Can cruisers from all over the world buy the CCL stock and claim/get OBC? Or is the $100 OBC only for North Americans?

The OBC varies by the length of your cruise.

Dave OKC has posted the info.

To get the OBC, you need to own 100 shares of CCL stock.

As I read what Mr. Donald stated in his report today, this drop in share price is much ado about little. Positive ticket price and positive on-board revenue is encouraging news.

If the tariffs our 45th President of the United States are enacted and take effect, it might well be a different scenario one year from now.

I think that is what the Market, today, is saying as to discretionary spending.

$100

Can cruisers from all over the world buy the CCL stock and claim/get OBC? Or is the $100 OBC only for North Americans?

We live in New Zealand, purchased the CCL shares several years ago, and receive OBC for each cruise.

If you can buy 100 US or UK shares, the PDF linked on

http://www.carnivalcorp.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=140690&p=irol-sharebenefit lays it out.

Executive summary:

• 100x CCL stock or 100x CUK ADRs entitles SOBC on all 10 Carnival brands

• Same SOBC on all 10 brands (Carnival awards same SOBC as Seabourn)

• One award of SOBC per stateroom with a stockholder in it.

• Different SOBC amounts for under-7 day, for 7-14 day, and over 14-day cruises.

• SOBC granted depends upon the currency used onboard for a particular cruise.

• 7-day cruises award US$100 or AU$100 (US$75) or £60 (US$80) or €40 (US$88)

• Holland America brand only uses US$ as onboard currency.

• Princess, for example, uses US$, AU$, and £ as onboard currency for different homeports.

• Unlike RCI's or NCL's SOBC, stacks with most things except casino or travel agent fares.

Actually it depends on how much you cruise. For example next year I have 4 Princess cruises booked, with each being over 14 days. That means $1000 in 2019 alone.

I purchased my stock in 2010 for $46.10. While the stock has appreciated since that time with dividends, the return rate has not been overwhelming and lagged the S&P.

On the other hand during those 8 years I have take 22 Cruises on CCL owned lines. 18 of which have been l 14 days or longer. 250 X 18 = 4500. 2 were for 10, and 2 were for 7. 4 X 100 = 400.

Total cost of stock $4610 total value of OBC since purchase = $4900 Current value with dividends reinvested = $6981.37

So if one cruises a lot it is a good deal pretty much at any time, if one rarely cruises, not that good of an investment.

The dividend is now $0.50/quarter.

Carnival has been very aggressive in increasing dividends, having doubled them over the past 3 years. The 50 cents per quarter was just paid on June 15 (declared in April), so I do not expect any more increases until next year in this quarter. Still, it is a nice yield of around 3.4%.
