EZ Air With Multiple Stops

We are going on a British Isle cruise next year and plan on using EZ Air.  We have used EZ in the past, but it has always been booked from our home town to the port and vice versa. This time, were thinking about going to Germany after the cruise.  My question is this: Should we book round trip tickets to London and then buy round trip tickets independently to Germany between those dates?  Or will EZ Air provide flights from our home town to London, London to Germany and then Germany to back home?  I would prefer to make it as painless as possible when purchasing the tickets.  Thank you in advance.

I do not think that the online EZAIR software can handle such a request.  In this situation you should telephone Princess and ask if they would transfer you (or give you the direct phone number) to the EZAIR folks (these are different then the normal Princess reservation clerks.  You might get some resistance since the regular reservations folks try to deal with many EZAIR issues but the folks that work in the EZAIR office (this is not the same office that handles the cruise reservations) are air specialists and can often do things not done by normal reservation folks.

One advantage to getting all your air onto one ticket/booking is that the US luggage rules would then apply to all the flights including the internal European flights.  If you book the intra-European air on your own, be careful to review the luggage rules (i.e. weight, size, price).  Some European airlines can actually charge you more for luggage then then the actual ticket :).

Really good advice about the luggage.  Some of the European carriers also have a weight limit on carry-on luggage.

In booking EZAir back from Europe, first change the date of your return to something other than the arrival date of the cruise.  You will find that this makes ANY airport in Europe available as the start airport for your travel home.  We usually spend a couple of weeks post Transatlantic cruise visiting Europe.

While we have booked our own round trip flights from the UK to a country in mainland Europe, we have also found that we can book a one-way from Gatwick to (in our case) Amsterdam post cruise independently from any EZair travel.   Then we can book the EZAir return flight for weeks later from AMS (or any other European airport) back to the USA.   Trying to book multiple legs of air travel using the EZair tool has been problematic for us (can't remember whether it was price or other issue, as the first leg from UK is on a different date from return from Europe).

The key is the online tool DOES ALLOW you to book a return flight from another European airport and date, no phone call required, and the rates are good.  Try it.

Regarding luggage, it is the carrier's rules that are followed. So if one has, say, an American Airlines flight operated by British Air, then the British Air rules apply.  Thus travel out of the UK post cruise will follow local carrier's rules.

Two years ago, we used EZAir in conjunction with Athens-Barcelona 14-nights on Majestic. We flew from home (Alabama) to Rome, spent 3 days, then Rome to Athens, w/transfer to ship. After a two-night stay in Barcelona, we flew to Dublin, spent six days in Ireland, then flew Dublin - home. (We booked the BCL-DUB on our own, as it was cheaper.) If I recall correctly, the EZAir fare was less than $700 each.

EZAir will now allow you to book stopovers online. I believe this is a new feature because I had not seen it before. I have not used it yet myself, but I saw the option to add an intermediate stop when looking at changing a current air booking.

You can use the "add a return flight stop" option just above the return flight box.  It allows you EZ air pricing on your intermediate flight.  It works the same if you want to stop before your port destination. It's a great option, I have used it.
