heimdall Posted November 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2019 Did a bit searching, but wasn’t able to come up with the right keywords. 10 of us will be sailing on NA in January, with most of us in Neptunes. We were hoping to do breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill with everyone. Does anyone know if there is option for non-Neptunes to join the Neptunes in the PG for breakfast? Thanks! RuthC Posted November 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2019 We know that there is no option for non-Neptune Suite passengers to eat breakfast in the Neptune Lounge. If it is important that everyone eats breakfast together, then all can go to the dining room; Neptune Suite passengers do have that option. canadianbear Posted November 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2019 No there is no option that I’m aware of if some are not in a Neptune or Pinnacle suites. You can all dine in the MDR for breakfast though.

Breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill is for Neptune Suite occupants only, sorry. It’s a perk for NS and above. Space is limited in the Pinnacle Grill and adding non suite guests could deprive an NS or PS guest of seating or service. The only exception is the Pinnacle Ships where they have a separate room (not the Pinnacle Grill) for Club Orange. Neptune Suites dine there as do Club Orange members. Floridiana Posted November 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2019 I don't think that non Neptune's guests can have breakfast in the Pinnacle. It's different on the NS and Koningsdam where Neptune guests have breakfast in the Club Orange and other guests have the option of buying the Club Orange privilege as a package. Krazy Kruizers Posted November 29, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2019 The breakfast menus are the same for the main dining room and the Pinnacle Grill. 10 -- you might consider 2 tables in the dining room as there is usually only 1 or 2 tables that size. Plus you would be yelling across the tables for the others on the far side to hear you. Much nicer to shift each day the people at the 2 different tables. Rare erewhon Posted November 30, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 30, 2019 As others have said, only Pinnacle and Neptune Suite passengers may have breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill. The PG staff can identify guests by checking the guest photos.
canadianbear Posted November 30, 2019 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Can you convince the other ones to upgrade to Neptune guarantees!!

Having all Neptune passengers would make for a much nicer cruise IMO - Not only for Pinnacle breakfast but also being able to meet up in the Neptune Lounge. Of course the extra expense may not be worth it. Unless of course they get offered an upsell and take it prior to sailing - Here's hoping! We are on the NA next week (hopefully) and a number of people on our roll call received and took upsell offers.
canadianbear Posted November 30, 2019 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2019 It is difficult traveling in a group when some are Neptune & others aren’t. What we did was arrange with concierge to have happy hour in our cabin for our group of 8.

Even better if you have one of the aft-wraps with the huge balconies.
GreenValleyDogWalker Posted November 30, 2019 #12 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Just doing a little bit more of looking around on various posts - we are scheduled to cruise in our first Neptune Suite next week - on the Oosterdam - (Vista Class) read somewhere that the suite breakfast perk is not in the Pinnacle Grill BUT in a cordoned off section of the MDR on some ships ??? EEK ! - Is that true on the Oosterdam (was TOTALLY looking forward to a nice, quiet breakfast in the PG) 😀 Thanks

EEK ! - Is that true on the Oosterdam (was TOTALLY looking forward to a nice, quiet breakfast in the PG) 😀 Thanks No, it will be in the Pinnacle Grill. Only on the two newest ships, Neptune suites have breakfast in the Club Orange restaurant. But the other ships, including Oosterdam, don't have that restaurant. When Club Orange was first announced, it sounded like the ships that didn't have the separate CO restaurant would have a special section of the MDR. There was considerable worry that the PG breakfast would be replaced by this section of the MDR, but so far, there is no CO section of the MDR and Neptune suite passengers are still having breakfast in the PG. Enjoy it, it's a great perk!

In all our cruises in Neptune no way hubby wants an aft 😳. We’ve been in them to visit with friends and I love them but hubby being comfortable mid ship is unfortunately where we have to book. Yes, in the PG you do not have to fight for a table and you will get superior service. But an omelet is an omelet and waffles are waffles. HAL has an excellent breakfast menu with just about everything most folks could want....and if you get it in the PG it is similar to what you get in the MDR (although the PG version might be hotter). I happen to be married to a wonderful woman who hates the thought of going to any dining room for breakfast. She is happy in the Lido (or the cabin) with a bowel of Rice Krispies! If she were in a Neptune Suite she might consider upgrading to Cheerios :). As to going to the MDR there are plenty of tables. A majority of cruisers (on most lines) go to the Lido Buffet for breakfast or order room service. The service in the MDR will not be up to the standard in the PG, but the food should be similar. If everyone in those category cabins bring their friends and family that are not in those cabins, the service for all would suffer, Table choice could become too limited. So, the answer is no. Your whole group can breakfast together in MDR every day or certainly Lido. Edited December 3, 2019 by sail7seas
