Set Sail Docs - Printed or Not with Royal App?

Hi Everyone.  I downloaded the Royal App, and when I did my online check-in, the app automatically created our set sail passes in the app.  So, does that mean I do not need to also print them out, or do you still need the paper copies?  Thanks.

I have been using the set sail pass on the app for all ships that are available without printing a paper copy. Did need paper one for Rhapsody TA last month from Barcelona because Rhapsody is not on the app.

Gotcha.  I am on Serenade, so it may better to have printed copies - just in case.

I always take a screen shot of the pass on my phone, just in case the app would not be working for some reason.

Could be issue with cell service in areas with a lot of users.

You don't need cellular service to open the app

So the set sail documents are downloaded to the phone?

I have them printed as a backup but plan to use the ones on our phones

They are within the app but the app doesn't require service/connection to open. Once they are there you don't have to reload anything to retrieve them

If they're on your phone in the app you won't need to print them.

No need for printed copy.  Set sail passes are in the app.  We also put our set sail pass in our apple wallet for quick, easy access to the passes without having to load the app.

Forgot my phone at home , good thing we had printed the docs as a back up boarding the Symphony. Being upper tier, I was able to use the ships phone to make calls, no charge.

Here’s a vote for good ‘ole hardcopy. I don’t trust any app that RCL puts out.

I love all things technology, but for Set Sail, and even for airlines, I print out paper copies. Easier (for me).

Not only do I not trust it, it scares the heck out of me to put RC software on one of my devices!😬
