Diamond Lounge on Symphony

This will be our first cruise as Diamond members and wondering about the DL on Symphony?  I found it on the deck plan and wondering how large it is?  Having read on these Boards some complaints about crowding.  Is there a nice view from the area?  Do the drinks count toward your 3 drinks on your card?   We are not big drinkers so most likely would use this for a pre-dinner cocktail.   If you want a premium liquor, do you pay the uncharge?  DH does like his Grey Goose.

There's no view at all to the outside.

 

Drinks in the lounge do not count against the 3 drink vouchers per night.

 

No upcharges, if the drink you want is not on the list, then you go to a bar and pay full price.

If you are diamond but your partner is not, can they accompany you to the diamond events?

If not married, only if you both live at the same address. If not, no.

OP-if you simply want a cocktail prior to dinner, you might consider using one of the 3 pre loaded drinks and enjoying one of the many lovely bars on symphony. You mentioned grey goose, the lounge does not serve any type of premium vodka.  In my opinion,  it is only drinkable if you are using it with a mixer. 
 

Don’t forget the lounge serves a nice Continental breakfast.  It likely will NOT   be crowded at that time. Some lounges also have some light snacks during the day. 
 

Enjoy  your new diamond benefits and especially enjoy Symphony.   I know this is off track, but if you have not sailed symphony before, please try to see the ice show and Flight.

No, you must be linked as a partner or significant other prior to the cruise.

Well, since this will be your first cruise as Diamond, everything will be shiny and new to you.  🙂 

 

How large is it?  Not.

 

No view - it's on Deck 4.

 

Unlimited drinks inside the lounge during happy hours (4:30-8) or (5-8:30).

 

Three drinks on your seapass that can be used anywhere on the Symphony except Rising Tide Bar and Bionic Bar.  

 

All drinks must be made with the approved, posted Diamond drinks list booze.

 

Voucher or lounge, same list, same hours.

 

The vodka is New Amsterdam. It is horrid.

When we were aboard Symphony only top shelf liquor is served in the Wonderland bar.  Seapass vouchers are good in Wonderland.

Least favorite Diamond Lounge we've encountered so far.  If the appetizers aren't important to you then skip the lounge and get your free drinks in a nicer venue.

No, but there is a virtual balcony.

Some mention the fine quality vodka brand. I suggest that after ten drinks containing the vodka it will not matter. The next morning is another thing.
