The Fun Researcher Posted January 18, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Itinerary: 9 night this summer out of Baltimore to Bermuda, CocoCay, Nassaua We typically eat on the earlier side with My Time Dining, say 5:30 - 6pm, but would like to try dining later to maximize our afternoons at the pool, etc... We would still like to see the late show for the headliners or Royal's own entertainment. Anyone know the typical times for the early and late shows on the Grandeur for this type of itinerary? Thank you in advance, Dan
Clarea Posted January 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Not quite the same exact itinerary, but this should give you an idea: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2658535-grandeur-cruise-compass-bermuda-7-day/
Another_Critic Posted January 18, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Shows are typically scheduled based on main (5:30) and late (8:00) seating times. Main seating show is after dinner. Late seating show can be before or after dinner.
BND Posted January 18, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2020 On Grandeur shows are scheduled for early and late seating. The main shows are all scheduled that way. If late seating is at 8, shows are usually at 7, early seating at say 6, show for them will be at like 8 or so. We always do late seating so most shows are before dinner, with an occasional one or two after depending on the show. My time has to work with what works with their dining time. If you eat at 530 or 6, you can see the show with the early diners if you eat later, you have to work around timing depending on when you go. Most of the time, one of the show times will work with your dining time.
Merion_Mom Posted January 18, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2020 There are some variations, but on most nights the shows are at 7 & 9.
The Fun Researcher Posted January 18, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Thanks all. Looks like around 7ish for early show and 8:45-9:45 for the late show. That later show time still works and we could have dinner around 7 PM which would be just about perfect. Dan
SRF Posted January 19, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) Realize that some nights, there is only one show. Equally inconvenient for early or late seating. Also, the later show may be a bit more adult oriented, so if you have kids, you may want to hit the early shows. One reason we do MTD. But eat more often in WJ than the MDR. dodgestang Posted January 19, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2020 Been in Grandeur times to know.....eating at the 5:30 seating, app, entree, desert with cappuccinos still left us time to meander over to the theater and catch the first seating of the shows. We did cheat a little by sending the kids over first to save us a good seat....but there was still plenty of seats when we got there too.

Dan We had MTD at 6:45 on the nights when there was a show at 9. Worked fine. When there was only one show it was a little tighter. One show at 7:00 made a crunch for MTF reservations at 5:30.
